Chapter 41 by landmaster1234 landmaster1234

Are there any detours on her way to get her things?

No, she heads right to the corridor off the entrance hall

Hermione headed straight to the corridor. Through the secret passage, Hermione heard the house-elves preparing meals

She knew that they wouldn't need to leave the kitchens to bring food to the great hall, but she didn't want to risk being caught by those who would bring food up to the hospital wing. In no time at all, Hermione made her way back into the laundry room. On the floor next to a basket was her bag. She happily grabbed it and looked inside. On top of a large pile of robes and undergarments were the map and her wand. She was relieved that she'd have some level of protection soon.

She grabbed her wand and with a swish through the air, she muttered a spell. "Accio robe!"

Without having to search at all, Hermione's third robe flew towards her. She wasted no time in putting it on before exiting the laundry.

Hermione knew that if she put the robe on, the Slytherins' rings would alert them. She made a dash to the great hall to pretend she hadn't been back to where Pansy had caught and stripped her the previous night.

She was sitting at the table, reading a book she had stored away in her bag when the three Slytherins came into the great hall.

"You're up earlier than we thou-ou-ught!" Daphne accused, fighting a yawn.

"Well," Hermione responded, trying to sound pleasant, "I wasn't exactly able to sleep as easily with this thing on." She grabbed at her collar.

The three Slytherins did grin at this. As they sat down, Millicent addressed Hermione. "Wardrobe check, mudblood! Tits where we can see 'em! Or, in your case, not." She chuckled at her own joke as Hermione got up and lifted her robes, exposing herself much the same way as she did the previous night.

A squeak was heard in the entrance hall. Hermione's eyes opened wide as she spun her head to see a house elf carrying trays of food.

"Oi!" Daphne called out to the elf. "Not a word of this to anyone, or we might just give you her clothes, understand!?"

The house-elf scurried off, not wanting to risk being set free.

Hermione lowered her robes again and sat down at the table, french toast and bacon beginning to appear.

As the girls loaded up their plates, Pansy turned to Hermione. "So, do you think you're ready?"

"For what?" Hermione asked tersely. She was somewhat annoyed that she had been tricked into exposing herself to someone entirely new, but even more annoyed that she was beginning to feel wet from it.

"Your first task is tonight!" Pansy reminder Hermione. "Ravenclaw Stripped Quidditch! Daphne's been working out the details for the past couple of days!"

Hermione hadn't forgotten that, of course, but she had hoped to fish for information on any other plans the girls had for her.

"And how exactly does this Quidditch work?" Hermione asked.

"Ah-ah-ah, Granger!" Pansy gloated. We're not going to spoil that just yet! We'll explain everything tonight at the Quidditch pitch. You'll meet us in the entrance hall tonight at ten! Now then, I'm starving..." Pansy began to eat her breakfast.

It was no use. Hermione would have to hang in suspense as she waited to see what the Slytherins had in store for her.

After the Slytherins had finished breakfast, they exited the great hall and stepped out onto the grounds, leaving Hermione alone until the next time they were to meet.

How does Hermione pass the time until the first task?
