"Melissa, get to the security system! Get it back online!" Izuku shouted, before more metal pillars rose up from behind the wall, and charged at him and Bakugo. Bakugo snarled and blasted away at them as Izuku frantically dodged, only using one percent of One For All to preserve the dying Embers.

"Right!" Melissa shouted, immediately running to exit the room.

"Like hell I'll let you!" the Villain who had accompanied Wolfram shouted, immediately running after Melissa. Izuku spotted this, and immediately moved to intercept, aborting his efforts to reach Wolfram. Investing a bit more of the Embers, Izuku avoided more walls Wolfram threw up to delay him by leaping over them, and got in the Villain's way.

Meanwhile, Sam ran to give Wolfram the briefcase, pushing David aside when he tried to obstruct him. Bakugo tried to intercept Sam, but got hit in the side by a metal pillar that smashed him into the wall. "Here it is!" Sam exclaimed, as Wolfram directed more pillars at Izuku, who struggled to stand his ground against them as he strained with what was left of the Embers, pushing back.

"Good!" Wolfram smirked as he grabbed the briefcase as both Izuku and Bakugo were at least momentarily subdued. "And here's the reward I promised you!" he added, before leveling the gun at Sam, and shooting his shoulder.

Izuku, staggering out from behind the pillars, managed to slam his fist into the mook's face as he tried to go for Melissa again, though not using One For All as he did, and thus only stunning the man instead of knocking him out, before he heard the gunshot, and whipped around to see Sam go down in shock. "Why!? This wasn't part of the plan!"

"Oh? That's funny. It was always part of my plan," Wolfram smirked, leveling the gun once more. He pulled the trigger again, this time aiming for Sam's head, but David, despite Sam's betrayal, jumped in front of the gun, getting his own shoulder shot and taking the bullet for his assistant.

"... Professor, why?" Sam asked in shock as Izuku tried to blindside Wolfram, but got wrapped up in railing from the side of the room for his trouble.

"Tch, trying to play the Hero, despite what you did? Don't kid yourself, Professor Shield," Wolfram mocked, pulling David up by the front of his shirt. "You may have gotten cold feet, but you were still involved with every preparation we had to get this done to begin with. You are a criminal now. You will never be able to continue your research without shame again. Your hands are stained with Villainy. And if you want any future at all, you'll be mass producing this device for me!" He then proceeded to strike David in the side of the neck with the butt of his pistol.

Izuku strained against the bindings, mentally assessing how much he had left of the Embers. Not enough... Just the barest flicker remained. Enough for maybe one more burst, and that was it. Then he was Quirkless again until he regained One For All, which could take anywhere between any moment now, or an hour, it depended on how effectively his body could process the hair and whether all that running had sped up the digestion much.

"Die!" Bakugo bellowed, managing to get enough leverage to blast the pillars pinning him, and launched himself at Wolfram, who quickly pointed the gun at Bakugo, only for Bakugo to throw another explosion forward, and blast the weapon out of Wolfram's hand.

With a grunt, Wolfram immediately placed his now empty palm on the floor, raising another pillar directly beneath Bakugo, who immediately blast himself up to avoid it... But then he got struck by a pillar from the ceiling, and smashed back to the floor again. "Lousy pest!" Wolfram sneered as Bakugo groaned and started to struggle to get up.

"Damn... With metal all around us, this bastard has one hell of a field advantage, he can attack from anywhere!" Bakugo grunted, as he got up to one knee, before the emergency lights in the room suddenly turned green again.

"...tch, that bitch got the security system back online!" Wolfram realized, before turning to his mook, and kicking Bakugo in the side of the head, sending him sprawling, dazed. "Come on, we have to move! With All Might no doubt freed, it's only a matter of time before he gets here!" He threw David over his shoulder, and they quickly fled the room, heading for the roof.
