No, but her cousin cut up her clothes

Alice walked home naked, much to her mother's chagrin.

"Hi, sweetie, I see you had another accident at school today..."

"Don't remind me, mom. I got in trouble, and now I have to be naked at school for the rest of the school year!"

"Oh, at least you still have clothes here..." her mother consoled her, "oh, by the way, I had to babysit Jenny today since your aunt is too busy with work."

Jenny! Jenny was Alice's rambunctious six-year old cousin who was a joy to be around but a pain to discipline.

"Oh, well could you get her away while I walk up to my room?"

"Of course, honey, I'll lead her to the bathroom so you can go upstairs."

"Thanks, mom!" as Alice waited while her mother went upstairs to talk with Jenny; Alice was looking forward to playing with Jenny once she had clothes on. After Alice heard the bathroom door close, she walked upstairs but was greeted by her mother's pale face.

"I found her in your room," she continued, "using scissors to cut patterns into your clothes. She said she was making a quilt. I'm so sorry, sweetie, I hope she didn't get to all of them."

Sighing, Alice went into her room and the damage was far worse than she could have ever imagined. In a big pile in front of her dresser were squares and strips of fabric. Alice picked them up and saw how thoroughly Jenny had cut them - strips of cotton, polyester, nylon, even wool were on the ground, and she could make out what used to be her T-shirts, underwear, blouses, and socks. Not a single intact garment was in the pile.

Gulping, Alice opened each drawer to her dresser and found it completely empty. Her closet returned a similar pile of what used to be her dresses, some with the straps still on their hangers! Alice did notice, however, that her jeans were missing even though there was no denim on the floor.

"Mom," she screeched while storming out of her room, "Jenny got to everything! Now I don't have anything to wear except maybe my jeans! What are we going to do? And where are my jeans?"

"Oh, well she is in timeout for a long time! I'm sorry that happened to you, sweetie, I'll try to look for your jeans..."
