No, Ethan's late yet again

Ethan turns into his work's parking lot, hitting the curb cut a little too hard. He knew he lost himself staring for a bit, but he didn't expect for it to put him as behind as it did. He looked at the clock as he pulled into his usual spot. 9:15, fifteen minutes late, for the third shift in a row. He needed to stop sleeping in so long and putting off getting ready to the last minute.

Caroline, his manager, had talked to him last month about showing up on time. And the month before. For what its worth, Ethan did try. But the allure of sleeping in for just a little longer was always so tempting. Caroline hadn't said anything his last two shifts, but he was certain she would today.

Ethan hopped out of the car and made his way in, hoping that neither Caroline or his coworkers would see him before he punched in. Maybe he could skirt by if he got started before someone said anything.
