Nikola Tesla: The Godfather of the Steampunk SexWorld

(This is the only aspect of this world that's actually utopian)

If you read my 'Are Women People?' chapter, you would see that my original explanation for why this world was forever stuck in the Victorian Era was basically: "SHUT UP! THIS IS A PORN UNIVERSE! IT DOESN'T HAVE TO MAKE SENSE!"

That didn't sit right me, and after thinking about it, I finally came up with an explanation that somewhat makes more sense logically.

In this reality, instead of that hack Thomas Edison, it was Nikola Tesla and his alternating current (AC) electrical system that won.

A good example of this in action is that instead of lightbulbs, street lamps are lit like this:
