Nikki and Blake (a girl with dyed hair and an average guy) who just met

“Ahhh that was such a great show!” Nikki said as they filed out of the venue with the masses of people all saying roughly the same thing. Blake looked at the girl next to him and agreed.

“Yeah that was fucking awesome. One of the best bands I’ve seen live in a long time.” The paused on a street corner both unsure of what to do next. They’d both met for the first time earlier that night. Blake’s roommate was dating Nikki’s friend. They’d all gone to get dinner together before the show. When Nikki’s friend had gotten sick (most likely food poisoning from dinner) they had left, while Blake and Nikki stayed to enjoy the show.

“Just realized that Mel was supposed to be my ride home.” Nikki laughed.

“Yeah I think Nick said she would give me a lift too.” They stood awkwardly for a few seconds. Blake really liked Nikki and was hoping that the night would continue. He just was unsure how.

“We could split a taxi?” He suggested.

“At this time of night? With surge pricing? That’ll be so expensive.”

“Well where do you live? We could take the bus.” They chatted briefly and realized that they did live on the same bus line just a few stops from each other.

“I’m fine with either.” Blake said as they looked at the mostly empty bus stop up the street. He could see the lights from the bus stopped at a traffic light further up the road so they would need to drive fast. “I’ll leave it up to you. Expensive comfort or cheap public transit?”
