Nightmare

You're at the school gate, You see someone that you recognize very well, Benjamin.

"You dipshit! You thought you could just brainwash me and ad me to your harem?" He grabs you with no effort and punches you in the face, you fly for what seems like an eternity and you end up falling on a soft bed, next to you is Penny, you try to move away but she grabs you and starts removing your pants.

"What is this pervert doing?" You hear laughs, you look around you, you're now surrounded by people, the laugh belongs to Ashley that points to your naked crotch. You flee, and you end up in front of a door. Someone is guarding it, it's... you.

"You understand that you're a monster right? You get magic powers and you exploit them for your own benefit!"

"I didn't want that to happen!" Your other self comes closer and whispers into your ear.

"You like it, stop lying to yourself. You're happier than you've ever been." He takes a step back and looks at you in the eyes with a deep and confident smile.

"N-NO! YOU'RE LYING!" You yell but as your voice resonates, your completely alone, in front of this golden door, in the middle of nothing.

As you hesitantly take a step forward, you slowly open the door. On the other side is a dimly lit hospital room. You approach the bed where Michael sleeps silently, and definitely. You look at him and tears start rolling down your cheeks. You fall on your knees and wait.

You feel a touch on your shoulder, you wipe your face and trace back the hand. You see your mom, looking at you with disdain.

"Don't worry John. It's not the only person you killed anymore." You freeze. You see the accident again. You yell until there's no air left in your lungs.

You wake up.

You're full of sweat and your body is trembling. you look at the time on your phone. 5h12 am, you let out a big sigh to calm yourself. You lay down on your bed again looking at your ceiling. You won't be able to fall asleep for at least a few hours, that must be the worse nightmare you ever had.

You look at the forum from your phone, you check old posts.

You don't find any mention of Benjamin, which is instead replaced with Penny, some of them don't even make sense, for example, the rumor you spread of Benjamin being a crossdresser doesn't translate correctly now that he's Penny. You are sure you could confuse people by pointing that out at least. But at this point, would you ever want someone to know about your power?

What if they decided you were a bad person and tried to stop you? Benjamin was bad but he certainly didn't deserve to be erased. If someone knew what you did, you would be in big trouble.

You create a new post, ready to change reality once again. But as you think about what to write, you cancel it. You aren't in the right mindset to use reality-altering power, you turn your phone off and go take a shower, you might as well start the day early.

While you're under the hot shower, you feel your body finally relax.
