Nightclub
Now he wanted to visit his nightclub.
He took out his smartphone once again and typed
"What if I owned a closet that contained all the clothes I wanted."
He then went to his closet and wished for a tailored suit, which he found.
When he had dressed, he teleported to the office of his club.
It was a fairly large club, divided into several areas. His office was in the upper part of the club, from which he could see both the gambling area and the largest club hall.
He could see that his employees were already making preparations for tonight.
He called his secretary and asked her for a coffee and a snack.
After a while, there was a knock and Velvet (Jones) came into the room with a tray.
As she crossed the room, he was able to take one look at her from top to bottom.
She was about 1.63 tall, had black hair that was about chin country.
She wore shoes with 10 cm heel, a short black skirt which left 2/3 of her legs free a white blouse with a black blazer. Now he knew why he had hired her.
According to his memory, she also liked to get a little more personal and that they addressed each other by their first names.
She set out his coffee and a homemade burger and fries.
"Thanks Velvet."
"But you're always welcome, Carl. Anything else I can do for you?" she said with a sly grin.
"No, thanks Velvet, not at the moment, will you keep making sure everything is running smoothly around here?"
"Sure for you everything Carl," she said, still grinning, and then walked out.
He let the time run on, almost until the store was well filled. He got up and went into the gambling area.
In the area were also some people of the upper class of the city. Even the mayor, Lara Price, was in the non-official area, which didn't surprise him, after all, he had obviously helped finance her campaign.
He made some small talk with her and then continued to walk through the area. He kept getting pulled into conversations with all sorts of people, and time passed.
As he passed the bar, he also noticed that Doris Ryan was a guest, which struck him as a bit odd, he knew she would try to push him off his throne, but he didn't expect her to come into his establishment herself.
When she saw him, she stood up and walked towards him. She was about 5'5" tall, had shoulder-length dark red hair.
She wore a black backless long dress that left one of her legs steadily free and wore a pair of black pumps with a 10 cm heel, which flattered her body very much.
He had to admit to himself that she would also fit in well with his plans, it would certainly be fun.
"Good evening Mr. Taylor, my name is Doris Ryan, you must have heard of me," she said with a determined smile.
"Good evening Mrs. Ryan, well, I've heard one or two good things of course," he replied in turn with a smile.
"I think we could do business together that would be mutually beneficial. If you have time, I'd be happy to talk it through with you."
That's when he heard a slightly louder discussion between one of his employees and a customer.
" Of course Ms. Ryan, however I have to take care of the problem right now, what do you say we meet tomorrow night, I would prefer neutral ground if that's not a problem for you."
" Well of course we can, I would be happy to postpone that until tomorrow, would you like to or should I choose the location?"
"You choose the location I will invite you of course, please let my secretary know when and where we will meet."
When she confirmed this, he excused himself and then went to the discussion when he got there, he asked the doorman whose name he fished from his memory
"What's the problem, Jason."
"This lady, has an outstanding loan with us that she was supposed to have paid off today, but now she wanted another one, and after we told her she couldn't get another one she got loud, Mr. Taylor. I'm sorry I couldn't resolve this more discreetly," Jason replied.
"No problem, Jason, I'll take it from here." Jason nodded and went back to his post.
"My name is Carl Taylor, I'm the owner, can I maybe help you Ms....?" he said addressing Cory. He knew her name but didn't want to come out with it just yet.
"Brown, Cory Brown. Well, I just wanted to play a game, but unfortunately, I'm a little short on cash right now and my daughter wouldn't lend me any money, so I could pay off my debt here." she said, on the verge of tears.
"Jason? How much does Ms. Brown have outstanding with me?" he asked the doorman.
"She has about 3 grand open here."
"Thanks, Jason, we'll see you later. Ms. Brown, what do you say, you and I play a game of Texas Hold'em in my office and talk about her debt?"
She looked at him indecisively, not sure if it was a good idea to go with Carl to his office, but finally agreed, so she could at least play a round.
He informed Velvet to have them brought to a poker table in his office.
