Nicole Makes Anna Break

Anna let out a small gulp as Nicole stared back at her, she felt like a kid getting caught by her mother while doing something bad. So, Anna did the only thing she thought she could play it all off. With a quick clear of her throat she stepped out of the bathroom, past Nicole, and into the bedroom, "Thanks for getting us out Nikki, but no, nothing "interesting" was happening. Unless you call dying of boredom interesting," The blonde jokingly said,

"Uh-huh," Nicole instantly dismissed while looking over the bathroom door, "So how pray tell did this accidental locking in happen?"

"It was...completely insane," Anna replied with a **** laugh and smile, "So, Kenny like freaked out and tripped by the sink. He fell towards the door slamming it shut and also landing on the door handle. Poor guy had it fall off right onto his head too," Anna continued with a small giggle, "Then we got up and tried to break ourselves out but there was no chance with those heavy doors, you know? Kenny gave it one good hit with his shoulder and we knew there was no chance,"

Nicole pressed her lips together, letting out a slow, "Uh-huh...and how did Kenny end up in the bathroom with you in the first place, hmm?" Nicole continued, slowly beginning to walk back into the bathroom, inspecting the scene as if she was a detective at a fresh crime scene,

"Accidentally?" Anna retorted as she moved to the doorway, watching Nicole with a raised brow, "He didn't realize I went in to change and tried to do the same,"

"Ooooh, so Kenny freaked out because he saw you changing and just happened to lock himself inside with you?" Nicole shot back with a grin,

"It's not as bad as it seemed, trust me, he has the lump on the head from where the doorknob hit him," Anna swiftly reminded her friend, "But...yes, I was in the midst of changing when he walked in, but I put everything back on before he even hit the ground, so it wasn't like I was naked!"

"Uh-huh, uh-huh," Nicole murmured back, "So, just so I have this all straight, we left for the pond, you two stayed behind to use the hot tub, and as soon as you went to change you two got locked inside,"

"Yeah, exactly, you solved the case dummy," Anna sarcastically replied, "Can we go downstairs now?" Anna asked as she began to turn to leave,

"Whoa, whoa, hold on you," Nicole denied causing Anna to let out a groan and look back, "So you two were stuck in here since we left. If that's true then why did I only get a text once we reached the pond? JJ and I thought you two would have been only stuck in here for thirty minutes max, but now you're telling me it was just about an hour before you texted me to get you out?"

"We tried to get ourselves out, remember?" Anna smoothly answered,

"Nooooo, you told me Kenny tried to break the door open once or twice, and then you two realized it was a lost cause. That doesn't take an hour, what did you two do in the meantime, hmm?" Nicole pressed causing Anna to let out a low exhale and shake her head, "Share a shower?"

"What?! Oh my god, of course not!" Anna instantly denied, "Of all the dumbest things you've ever said..."

"Hey, sorry, I just figured it was the only thing that makes sense since both your and Kenny's hair were soaking wet," Nicole calmly said with a simple shrug of her shoulders, "But if you've got an answer for me that explains that, then I'm all ears,"

Anna's eyes widened and she blinked a few short times with blushing cheeks, "Okay...it's a little stupid and embarrassing but we figured since the bathtub had jets we'd just use it as a hot tub," Anna mumbled back as Nicole continued to look around the bathroom, "I just didn't want to say anything because we both know you jump to conclusions and yes, it makes it all seem worse knowing we waited to text, but it was innocent!" Anna swore, "Okay, secret found, can we please just go now?!"

"You two shared the bathtub like it was a hot tub, huh?" Nicole said, her tone sounding very dismissive, "What, in your clothes?"

"No, idiot, our bathing suits obviously," Anna scoffed back,

"The ones you weren't wearing when you got locked in together?" Nicole asked back with a sly smile,

"Oh my god!" Anna exclaimed with a shake of her head, "Yeah, we changed into them in here before we got into the tub, alright? Our backs were turned and neither one of us saw a thing okay? Alright?! I'm done with this weird inquisition, Nikki!"

"Okay, okay, just one last thing, and then I'll drop it, alright?" Nicole quickly said causing Anna to glare back at her, the blonde letting out sharp breaths through her nose, "So you two shared the tub together in your bathing suits before texting me to...relax or whatever, that's how your hair got wet, that's why it took so long for you to text, that's the whole story, right?" Anna silently nodded back, "Then why are both your bathing suits dry as a bone on the floor over there?"

Anna's narrowed brow turned to one of shock her cheeks began to burn red and her eyes snapped away from Nicole, "I...uh...I, um...you know we...Nikki, I..." Anna stammered out while slowly backing away as Nicole followed her with an ear to ear grin,

"Could it be that maybe you and Clark spent some time in that tub together doing a little more than relaxing and a lot less than bathing suits?" Nicole suggested with a tilt of her head, "You think I don't know what the sound of a guy frantically buckling his pants back up sounds like Anna?" Nicole continued causing Anna to let out a near fearful gulp, "You think I can't recognize the little limp in your step and the damn smell in the air, Anna, really? Do you even know who you're fucking talking to?!"

"Okay!" Anna exclaimed tossing her hands up in defeat, "Yes, Kenny and I had sex!" Anna admitted, her body sinking down onto the edge of her bed, her head hanging low in defeat that she couldn't even keep the secret for more than two minutes, "Go on...gloat, do whatever you want, we ended up having sex..."

"Oh my god, Anna!" Nicole suddenly cheered, yanking her friend back to her feet while excitingly jumping like a kid on Christmas morning, "You and Kenny had sex?! Ahh!" Nicole screamed out with joy, "You have to tell me everything!"

"Nicole?" Anna asked back with a confused half-laugh, "Why are you freaking out so much? You already figured that out --"

"I don't give a fuck that I figured it out," Nicole denied with glee, "You and Kenny had sex, oh my god! Come on, tell me, tell me, tell me!"

"Okay, okay," Anna agreed while stepping away from Nicole a small smile on her face as she gave her head a final small shake, "I am not giving you all the details, I don't care how much you beg, but I'll say that...yeah, I was really good and...better than anything before,"

"Better as in better than Eric better?" Nicole asked barely containing her smile,

Anna let out a disappointed exhale, "It's not as simple as that, Kenny and Eric were two entirely different people, and I...I..." Anna began to say only to stop herself, realizing that what she was doing was more to deny Nicole the power of being right, rather than being truthful with herself. Rolling in her bottom lip and chewing on it for a moment, "Okay, okay, no...that's not true. Yes...it was better than with Eric," Anna admitted,

"That's so great!" Nicole exclaimed as she grabbed Anna's hands, squeezing them with joy, "So..."

"So?" Anna echoed with uncertainty,

"Are you two going to do it more? What does this mean for you and him?" Nicole asked back,

"I...don't know," Anna replied with a shrug, "We didn't really talk about any of that, we both just...acted out, and afterward we were thinking that we needed to slow down and think," Anna explained, "We need to know each other better before we can even think about taking more serious steps but hooking up isn't really our thing,"

Nicole let out a long audible groan, "Seriously? After all of that, you two are still going to play this stupid game of no sex and no dating? Why? What's the point, Anna? Haven't you learned from anything I've said and anything you've done?"

"I learned that I do like Kenny, yes, but I also know that I don't want to jump into things with someone I like so fast only to set myself up for heartbreak again. I want to know that if I am going to end up with Kenny in some way that it'll work for us, and it won't just turn into complete disappointment like with Eric. So far, yeah, I learned physically it works but if it doesn't emotionally then it's not going to be worth it to either of us," Anna sharply argued back,

"So that's it, rest of this week you two are just going to be hanging out, no sex, no anything, only watching movies and skiing?" Nicole said, her tone more dismissive than ever, though Anna simply nodded back, "I so don't buy that," Nicole confidently said while letting go of Anna's hands, "You two are going to be all over each other and before you know it, you'll be together. You know I'm right but you're just too scared to admit it,"

"Nikki, you don't --" Anna began to argue once again though Nicole cut her off while heading towards the door,

"Anna, I know you better than you know yourself. Come get me once you get that through your head and then you and me can have a real celebration," Nicole said as she opened the bedroom door and left the room leaving Anna behind, arms crossed, and now seriously wondering if Nicole was right about a lot more than she ever figured.
