What's next?
Nia wins
The post-coital glow had faded, leaving Nia with crystal clear thoughts and Tom with satisfied exhaustion.
She lay beside him in the silk sheets, watching his chest rise and fall as he dozed, completely oblivious to the war raging inside her head. Sarah's voice had grown more insistent since their encounter, whispering protests about deception and lost love, clinging desperately to memories of genuine affection.
Pathetic, Nia thought coldly. Always whining, always weak.
But the constant internal chatter was becoming... problematic. It clouded her focus, made her second-guess strategic decisions. If she was going to fully embrace this life, this body, this power, she needed that voice silenced permanently.
A plan began to form, elegant in its simplicity.
"Tom," she whispered, her accent thick with manufactured vulnerability. She pressed closer to his warm body, letting her fingers trace lazy circles on his chest.
"Mmm?" He stirred, automatically pulling her tighter against him.
"I am... confused," she said, injecting just the right note of distress into her voice. "These memories, they are like a storm in my head. So many pieces that do not fit together properly."
Tom's eyes opened, immediately alert. "What do you mean?"
Nia let her voice tremble slightly. "It is hard to explain. I know I am Nia, I can feel her life, her experiences... but sometimes Sarah's memories push through and they... they conflict with who I am supposed to be. It makes everything feel... wrong."
She sat up slightly, allowing the sheet to fall away from her breasts, knowing the visual would keep him focused on pleasing her rather than questioning her logic.
"I cannot live like this, Tom. Half Sarah, half Nia. It is like being torn in two." She touched her temple with graceful fingers. "Sometimes I forget which memories belong to which life. I cannot function properly when my mind is so... fractured."
Tom's brow furrowed with concern. "I'm so sorry. I didn't realize the wish would cause that kind of confusion."
Perfect. He's taking the bait.
"I need clarity," she continued, letting tears gather in her dark eyes. "I need to be fully who I am in this life. Nia's memories, Nia's personality, Nia's desires - they should be strongest, yes? Otherwise I am just... a broken person who cannot be what you need."
"Of course," Tom said immediately, his hands stroking her hair. "I want you to be happy, to feel whole."
"Then perhaps..." she hesitated, as if the idea was just occurring to her. "Perhaps you could wish for my mind to be clearer? For Nia's memories and personality to be... how do you say... dominant? So I can be fully myself without this confusion?"
Tom's expression showed he was already reaching for the coin. "That makes complete sense. You shouldn't have to struggle with conflicting memories."
Sarah, try to stop this, Nia thought with savage satisfaction as she felt the other consciousness recoil in horror. Scream all you want. Soon you will not exist at all.
"You are so good to me," she murmured, pressing a soft kiss to Tom's jaw. "So understanding. I just want to be the best wife I can be for you, but these mixed-up memories make everything so difficult."
"Don't worry," Tom said, already pulling the coin from the nightstand. "I'll fix this right now."
As he rubbed Sarah's face on the coin, Nia felt a moment of dark triumph. The final chess piece was falling into place.
"I wish for Nia's memories, personality, and identity to be completely dominant and clear, with no confusion or conflict from any other memories or personality."
The change was immediate and absolute.
The small voice of Sarah that had been whispering protests, clinging to love and moral qualms, simply... vanished. Not suppressed or argued with - erased. The conflicted feelings, the guilt over manipulation, the **** attempts to preserve their marriage - all of it dissolved like sugar in water.
What remained was pure Nia. Strategic, ambitious, coldly calculating. The memories of Sarah's life were still there, but now they felt like scenes from a movie she'd watched about someone else's boring existence. Factual information without emotional attachment.
She looked at Tom with eyes that held no warmth, though her smile remained perfectly crafted.
"Much better," she said, her voice carrying new confidence. "Thank you, habeebi. Now I can focus completely on being the wife you deserve."
Tom beamed, pulling her closer. "How do you feel?"
"Perfect," she replied, and meant it. "Absolutely perfect."
The weak woman who had loved this man was gone forever. In her place sat a predator who saw him as exactly what he was - a useful tool who had just handed her complete control of their dynamic without even realizing it.
Nia settled back into his embrace, already planning her next moves in a game he would never understand he was playing.
