Nia Jax, Sasha Banks, Trish Stratus

This match would be an odd mixing of styles.

On the one hand, Nia Jax was the epitome of brute power. Despite not seeing much success in the WWE she always maintained a power and strength advantage and her opponents. While she did not have as much in-ring skill as either of her opponents, what she lacked in skill she made up for her ability to likely be able to easily lift and eliminate her opponents in a way that they would not be able to do to her. Due to this, Nia found herself in an unusual position as she was actually the favorite to win the match. This also may be due, with no disrespect to Nia's curvy figure, to the crowd's strong interest in seeing her opponents stripped down. For Nia, this was a victory that could skyrocket her up the rankings and put her in a spot where she could be among the top women of the WWE.

Sasha Banks, blue haired drama queen of the WWE, though you may not realize it due to how much she teased wanting to work elsewhere like AEW. Sasha's twitter feed had got her in some hot water with management and knowing that she has one foot out of the company they offered her this "monkey's paw" of a solution. Sasha's most recent contract included a very unique incentive, it promised her a match against her all-time hero Trish Stratus. Not stipulated was the match type or that it would have to be a one on one match. So with her contract with the WWE soon set to expire, they decided to handle this contract clause as only they could. And that is why Sasha finds herself in a very uncomfortable situation. The woman had no interest in exposing her body but fighting against a legend like Trish was a match she couldn't refuse. And ultimately the Boss had confidence that she could do what it takes to pull out a victory without needing to embarrass herself in front of the world.

Trish Stratus, the returning legend. She'd re-buffed quite a few offers to return but now finally decided it was time to return to the WWE. The very large contract offer and guaranteed money for limited dates didn't hurt either. Trish knew deep down that despite what WWE wants to promote themselves as and how empowered they want to be, they are the same people who were in charge back in the era of bra & panties matches. So this strip stipulation didn't surprise her as much as you'd think. She knew there were some people backstage that still held a grudge against her including one powerful woman who pretty much runs this company now. So of course Stephanie would try to embarrass her as part of this return. For Trish, she knew she may lose a few articles of clothing but the plan was simple. Win if she can, lose if she must, but don't sacrifice your pride just for another win. Her career had already been solidified, the last thing she needed was some large exposure that could tarnish that legacy of hers.
