Newbie Mistakes

Its about a view months after Fern became the Cosmic Fury Orange Ranger but shes still new to this whole thing and she defiantly is new to doing it on her own without the rest of the team. With that being said she had offered to go on this mission on her own so the rest of the team could stay at the base and work on some upgrades to the ship.

"Ya Im sure I'll be fine Izzy everything looks fine here so far" Fern says into her communicator after she arrives on a distant planet. "Its...strangely...peaceful here" She says. "Well lets hope it stays that way but try not to let your guard down" Izzy responds. After finishing that call with Izzy Fern looks around the general area seeing if she can spot anything out of place.

She knew that Izzy had told her to kept her guard up but there really seamed to be nothing here like it was a false alarm theres no villains to be seen or anything its a wasteland for as far as her eyesight could see. Right as She goes to teleport back to base shes quickly surrounded by a bunch of wired looking rock monsters.

Fern gets into fighting stance but before she can do anything shes quickly outnumbered. She kicks her feet out trying to fight herself out of their grasp but she's not doing a good job of doing so. "Get your hands off of me" She claims but to no surprise they dont listen. Fern elbows one of them managing to break free of their grasp but it doesn't last long as she's outnumbered again.
