New hot roomate!

Sales are up. Reviews are glowing. Life is good… until her old roommate, the original leaseholder, abruptly hightails it out of Boston and vanishes from existence like a cowardly ghost. Suddenly, Vivi is left footing both halves of the rent, watching her hard-earned savings evaporate faster than a poorly cast glamour spell.

Panicking (but trying to look hot while doing it), Vivi posts a desperate Craigslist ad:

Roommate needed. ASAP. First month half off. Bonus points if you help get rid of my ex-roommate’s junk.

The post is, admittedly, sketchy. Borderline unhinged. The kind of listing that would make most sane people close the tab, clear their browser history, and move on with their lives.

…And yet, someone answers.

Enter: a six-foot-tall man built like a brick shithouse, but with the unmistakable vibe of someone who enjoys burgers, casual weekends, and being kind to retail workers. He’s got a megawatt smile, warm eyes, and a genuinely sweet personality that should frankly be illegal.

It is more than enough to send Vivi—short, chubby, freckled, round-glasses-wearing Vivi, whose hair is barely being held hostage by a scrunchie—into a full systems shutdown.

But it’s fine. She’s fine. Totally normal about this.

It’s not like he would ever go for her. She’ll admire him responsibly. From afar. As a roommate should. Maybe treat him as eye candy. Possibly a muse.
