New Milena

You woke up the same way you woke up the first time. You were deep inside the suit and saw other suits hanging nearby. You opened the slit on your stomach and slipped out of the suit easily. All slimy, you turned around and looked at the blonde's skin, which occasionally twitched. Your hands reached for her belly on their own and closed the gap that had formed. When the edges clutched together, the wound healed almost instantly, but she still didn't move. The main thing that caught your eye was those lifeless blue eyes again. You averted your gaze and went to the shower room.

"I guess Milena can't get used to her new body, I hope she's really okay and I can hear her again..."

You managed to rinse off that goo and return to the room. She wasn't awake yet, but she had already gained volume and no longer seemed like an empty shell. You sat down next to her and took her hand. Perhaps this was the catalyst and she began to wake up. Her mouth began to involuntarily clench and unclench.

"А? Where am I..."

"Milena?" - you asked hopefully.

"Carl!"

She immediately jumped up and started looking around.

"Am I home? At your house? But I was walking down the street... And then I was attacked."

She looked at her thin, snow-white hands, then she noticed the golden locks of hair again.

"What?... What happened?"

"Come on, I'll show you."

You helped her to her feet and took her to the shower room. She cried out and covered her face with her hands when she saw her face. It was the static blue eyes that frightened her the most. It was obvious that she was crying, but even the tears wouldn't come out of them. She was so overwhelmed with emotions that red tentacles burst out of her back and began dangling haphazardly in different directions. They began to coil around you. You were frightened, but not confused.

"Tchhh... Milena... calm..." - you stroked her head with your free hand.

The tentacles stopped trying to pull you inside, and just clung to you tightly.

"I'm... An I a monster...? You're not going to leave me, are you...?" - Milena said quietly, sobbing.

You pressed against her from behind and cradled her with your free hand.

"Never my dear... We swore an oath of love to each other, remember?"

"But I'm a monster!!! I'm different already! I..."

She was clearly having an identity crisis right now. She was confused about who or what she was. If you hadn't supported her now, as you hadn't supported the poor girl back in the day, a new monster might have been born.

"You will always be Milena... Even though your appearance has changed. You have no idea how happy I am to see you again! I thought I'd lost you forever! But I had a chance to bring you back to life, I couldn't miss it..."

The tentacles' grip loosened and she bowed her head.

"So you won't leave me...? Do you still like me...? What will my parents say?"

You were a little wary of such questions. It seemed as if a previous personality was sifting through Milena's soul and she absorbed her fears.

"Never-ever! I love you more than ever... I understand this is hard for you, but I'll be there to help you through it."

The tentacles finally let go of you and pulled you back inside. She trembled and began to fall, and you picked her up. But apparently she lost consciousness. You picked her up in your arms and carried her into the bedroom. As you laid her down on the bed, she spoke.

"I'm sorry... I just had a flashback... Not my flashback. I was so scared and lonely, I was overwhelmed with resentment and anger. If it wasn't for you I would have probably lost myself... But your words comforted me... and dispelled my fears... Thank you for always being there for me."

You smiled sadly and lay down next to her.

"I couldn't protect you on the street today... I'm sorry" - you said quietly.

"I... I seem to be fainting... I want to sleep... Carl..."

You moved closer to her and put your arms around her. She cringed a little, but then she relaxed. It had been a hard day for everyone, so you succumbed to her charms and fatigue and fell asleep with her too.
