No! Lisa thought as the ball was tossed to her. I refuse to give up!

Whatever her own feelings may be on the cost of losing. Lisa’s ego couldn’t let her just give up.

With a deep breath, Lisa sent the ball flying back over the net. She couldn’t help but smile as she watches Brad dive for the ball, only managing to send it back over the net by the skin of his teeth. She watched as the ball glided through the air, it was going to come down right in front of Felicia, it would be impossible for her to miss it.

Lisa’s eye wandered them, catching Felicia's, she had expected to see a reflection of her own desire to win. Instead, she saw something else, something she couldn’t place but didn’t like. As she watched Felicia stepped forward to return the ball. Yet her left foot hardly moved, dragging along the ground in a fashion that meant that she ended up stumbling forward.

What should have been a confident return shot turned into a weak effort, by some blind luck it went high. Lisa watched in despair as one of the bro’s jumped up into the air and slammed the ball back over to their side. It slammed into the ground, the sound of it seems like a deafening gong to Lisa.
