Negotiations

“You have to help me out,” Logan said, “I have to buy some discs with information about some corrupt cops. The seller is Thomas Sneijder Jr. a Dutch businessman. He won a fortune by smuggling art pieces out of America to the old world. He got the information coincidentally, this is not his usual business. He decided to make profit of it and is willing to sell it to me. I arranged a meeting tonight to negotiate a price and here is the problem: We’ve got an enormous family problem and I have to visit uncle Jonas tonight. Also, Sneijder made it very clear that he will meet me only tonight and there is no chance I will make it to his office and the meeting.”

“So you want me to sneak in there and steal this crappy disc...” Max said. Usual stuff, nothing too exciting. She did this a hundred times and she tricked most safety systems in her sleep.

“Actually no.” Logan answered, “He knows about my interest in this disc and he’s no fool. If his stuff is missing, I will be his first address to show up. And he’s really not a man you’d like to have as an enemy. So I need you to be my negotiator and buy this disc for me. It’s really important. Could you do this for me?”

“Of Course.” Max said bored. This task didn’t really promise any action, but she didn’t feel like going to Crash and it was definitely better than sitting around and starring against the ceiling of her apartment.

“In the envelope on that table there is a thousand dollars. Take it, make a good deal and the rest of the money is yours.” Max’s eyes lit up. Now, that was great news. With a bit luck she would have enough money out of this to pay Walter 'rent' for the next two months! She took the envelope and turned to leave, when Logan spoke again: “And, Max... be careful! I heard this guy is a real jerk! He collected himself a pretty impressive amount of sexual harassment-suits over the years. But maybe you can use this for your advantage...”

Max smirked. She had handled jerks her whole life long and she was used to have disgusting bastards trying to nail her. This would be some easy work. Some ass-shaking, some cleavage showing and he would be wax in her hands.

In a great mood Max went home to prepare herself for the meeting.
