Chapter 5 by GreenWanting GreenWanting

Where's home?

Near the Spa (Tessa roommate)

you find that one of the other new hires shares the small cottage nestled near a waterfall and about a five minute walk from the Parlor.

She introduces herself on the cart ride up to the cottage.

"Hi, I'm Tessa!" The woman has a solid frame but stand only 5'5", her muscles mostly hidden by her camo fatigues that have been cut off to make them more comfortable in a tropical climate. Her handshake firm but gentle. Her hands calloused in a manner that speaks of hard work and strength.

"So, uh, sorry for getting a bunkmate who is a bit of a jock. I get up early to run and workout but I am sure we arrange it so I don't disturb your sleep." Her demeanor is much more bashful than you would first assume about someone who reeks of a military background.

"Here let me get that for you." She plucks your bag from the back of the cart the moment it stops at your private home. The area is verdant and beautiful, the coursing waterfall on the far side of the road feeds into a pool that could easily accomidate twenty or so people. The driver, a lithe woman of indeterminate descent flashes you a cheeky smile.

"If you need help settling in cutie, just shoot me a text." She slides you her card. Irena Costello is her name it seems. You give your name and she sets off back down th trail in the modified golf cart.

You turn and walk into your new home. Tessa has deposited the your duffelbag somewhere unseen and you can hear her exploring what is presumably the kitchen. You also hear her exclaim.

"Awesome! The fridge is stocked!" She comes marching back into the room brandishing a pair of bottled beers. Setting one down on the coffee table in the middle of the livingroom (the first room when you walk in the door) and she pops the second one open using a lighter she produced from a pocket.

"Oh, Uh, I assumed you wanted a beer. Sorry, you probably are reall classy and don't drink this garbage. My bad, I-" she stammers nervously.

You shake your head and smile, reaching for the beer.

How goes the rest of the morning?
