Near-lethal, and quickly.

Link took a deep breath, jumping on top of a table, and jumping off of it. Link was physically strong, he may have used a sword, but he needed to be capable of handling himself otherwise. He tackled the not as tall brute, sending him skidding across the wooden floor of the tavern. Link expertly removed his sword and bashed in the smaller brute's head with the flat side, knocking him out in one swift go.

There were many exasperated shouts, and shocked patrons, but the person who was shocked the most was the brute now looking down at Link. " 'EY GET OFF MY PAL!"

Link snickered, "I think it's time for you to learn not to mess with me or my friends." He stood up, putting his sword back into its sheath, and in one quick motion, Link jumped from the body of the smaller brute, pushing into the bigger brute, and knocking him over. In the process of the bigger brute falling, he had let go of Malon.

"Get to safety, Malon," Link demanded, "I'm going to finish this, and we'll go back to normal." Immediately after Link spoke, he kicked the brute in the face, sending that one skidding backwards as well. "Don't stand up unless you want me to kick your ass some more." He said.

Malon also quickly nodded and ran off to behind her counter, waiting for this whole mess to finish and clear up. She hid, so she wouldn't draw anymore attention to herself. She was very grateful.

The brute took this as a challenge from Link. "Me 'n Dave ain't gonna stand for this," he said trembling slightly. The brute shakily stood up. "I'm gonna kill ya, and you won't be able to stop me." The brute lunges forward, slamming his fist into Link's face. Link flew backwards, crashing through several tables, chairs and other people.

"Damn.. That really hurts," Link said standing up, blood coming from his mouth, and nose. "It's too bad things have to end here.." Link took a deep breath, closing his eyes, and once again removed his sword. He didn't want to kill the heathen in front of him, that would be asinine. Law enforcement could decide his punishment after this. Link opened his eyes, running forward. He rolled to the side as the Brute tried to hit him again, and slashed at the burly man's left leg, then the right, sending him to his knees.

"Get up, and you die." Link said in a very deadly tone. He wasn't actually going to kill the man, but he wanted to make sure he didn't have to fight anymore.

"Tell me.. Your name lad.." the Brute asked.

"Link," Link responded.

"I--" before he could finish, he ending up falling ****.

Link sighed a sigh of relief, and walked over to the bar counter, and peeked over, smiling down at her with a bloodied face. "Sorry for the mess, Malon, and sorry for causing it."

"I-It's okay. As long as it's over. I'm glad you stopped them and saved me, most normal people wouldn't do a thing, you're my literal hero." She said in a grateful tone. "I can't imagine what they would of done to me if they took me to the back. They were going to washroom area, s--"

Link had jumped over and put a finger over her mouth. "Shh. Don't keep it going. You don't need to explain anything. I'm going to go clean myself up, and help you fix your bar, and then we can talk later."

He smiled back down at her, and he did exactly as he had told Malon. He went to go wash off his face, and check up on his nose to see if it was broken-- which it wasn't fortunately. Firstly though, the local town guard came in to the bar to investigate what happened. After everything was explained and the guards took away the two brutes that had tried to do horrifying things to Malon

After he had cleaned himself up and after the brutes were taken away he had spent the next few hours fixing the bar, and cleaning up the broken tables and chairs, apologizing to the patrons and just doing chores around the place. After several hours, around some time after noon, the place basically looked brand new, minus several tables.

That left only one more thing.
