Natalie asks a boy out!

Natalie was going to do it. After years of unrequited feelings, she was going to ask out Mark. Mark was quarterback of the college football team and maybe the hottest and most popular guy in school. So obviously he was out of Natalie's league. After all, she was an infamous nerd and he was a popular jock. But Mark had asked her to tutor him for math classes for the last two years to make sure he could graduate, and they'd had a real connection! He was flirty and fun and Natalie was hopelessly head over heels for him. So she saw him walking down the hall and took a deep breath.

"You can do this, you can do this!" Natalie whispered to herself. Then she approached Mark.

"Natalie! How's my favorite tutor?"

"Good. Great. Wonderful!" She said, already feeling totally foolish. "Uh... so... are you doing anything this weekend?"

"Oh yeah, there's a big beach party Saturday. You should come!"

"Oh, a beach party. I don't know..." Natalie hesitated. ON one hand, he'd just invited her somewhere, like for fun! On the other, the beach was where people wore bikinis, and she was totally embarrassed by her body, and avoided reavling clothes at all costs.

"Come on, it'll be great!" He smiled, and touched her arm.

"Well... okay!" Natalie said.

"Great! I'll see you maybe at five?" Mark asked.

"Yes. five. Great. Wonderful. See you there!" Natalie said, turning and practically running away. She was meeting Mark for a hangout! He wanted to hang out with her! That was almost a date, pretty much right?

What Natalie didn't know was Beth and her friends had just watched this whole conversation. Beth was head cheerleader, buxom blonde with a C- GPA. She also was totally into Mark.

"Am I crazy, or did that chubby nerd just ask out Mark?" She asked angrily.

"Oh yeah." Her friend Jessica chimed in. "They're meeting at the beach, we all heard!"

"Well this day at the beach isn't going to go the way Natalie the nerd expects!" Beth said angrily....
