Natalie Makes Naomi Interrupt Class

She smirks at Naomi, who is ogling the book Natalie was holding. “Oh yes, it’s one of my favorite authors. The Conquerors Series is the best.” She said, pulling another series from the author she saw on the shelf. Naomi beamed as they continued discussing books. “Here, you can check it out first, I’ll read it when you’re done.” Naomi smiled brightly. “Oh wow, really! That’s so nice of you!”

Natalie smiled back. “For sure, there’s also a really great review that I read about it if you want me to email it to you. It’s pretty engaging with no spoilers.” Naomi quickly jotted down her email and gave it to Natalie. “I’ll send it over right away!” Naomi left for her next class, which Natalie just so happened to share. She drafted an email to her and attached a link before heading there herself.

It was a boring lecture time, something about early world days in history class. Boring enough that even good students like Naomi might instead check their email to read a book review instead of taking notes on her laptop. She was about to click on the link for the review when Mrs. Fintz directed everyone to look at a few pictures on the projector; Natalie took this time to send another quick email. Mrs. Fintz droned on and on about each photo. Naomi quickly got bored enough again to click on the link for the book review. “Let’s take a moment to look together at the detail here.” Mrs. Fintz announced.

The room was quiet for a second before “UNGH YES! Here’s the right link:” Followed by a book review website that Naomi knew well. She turned around to give Natalie a “wtf” look and was greeted with an apologetic look in return.
