Naked in New York

When Lara arrives, she is promptly thrown out of the airport, unable to reach her connected flight to London.

Her face flushes and her breath suddenly quickens. The realisation that she is truly stuck here and exposed to the elements, completely defenceless and a thousand miles away from her closest friends or contacts is almost too much for her to handle. She can feel her body beginning to shake as she struggles to cover with her hands. She feels her nipples beneath her fingers as they turn rock solid.

She does her best to remain calm and try and stop herself from hyperventilating. She scans her surroundings for any kind of cover, something to hide from prying eyes. “If I can at least cover myself,” Lara thinks to herself, “then I can think more clearly and act more rationally.” At the moment, She feels like a cornered animal, looking to run and hide or lash out.
