NYE: Jonathan Busts Out Some Champagne (Luck: -10 Suspicion: -5)

Leah and Jonathan had made a decision earlier that day, one that they had both been secretly hoping for. They were going to have a quiet New Year's Eve at home, just the two of them. No parties, no crowds, no expectations. It was a welcome change from their usual high-energy lifestyle.

As the sun began to set, they each found their own comfortable spots in their cozy living room. Jonathan sat at his computer, engrossed in some new project he had been working on. Leah, on the other hand, lounged around the house, enjoying the freedom of not having any plans. At one point as the night was nearing the dawn of a new year Jonathan got up to go rummage through the kitchen. A late night snack, Leah thought. But to her surprise, Jonathan returned not with a Monster Energy drink or Coke but a bottle of champagne.

Jonathan smiled as he watched Leah's reaction to the surprise bottle of champagne he had just pulled out from behind his back. He knew she wasn't expecting anything special for their quiet New Year's Eve at home, but he wanted to make it memorable for her.

"Where did you get that?!" Leah exclaimed, eyes widening in surprise.

"I have my ways," Jonathan replied with a grin. "Thought we could toast to the new year together."

Leah's face lit up with happiness and she threw her arms around him in a hug. They both laughed as they opened the champagne and poured themselves glasses, clinking them together before taking a sip.

"This is perfect," Leah said, leaning her head against Jonathan's shoulder. "Just being here with you is all I need."

As they waited for the clock to strike twelve, they reminisced about all their favorite memories from the past year and talked about their hopes and plans for the future. When it was finally time to welcome in the new year, they shared a passionate kiss.

"I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us," Jonathan said with a smile.

"Me too," Leah replied, smiling back at him.
