How do you stop the 'overclock': accept, or smash the gem?

NO DEAL!

"No, I don't think so!" You say bringing the black gem, glowing with 'blood light', down against the cobblestones as hard as you can. It breaks into a dozen shards some of which embed in your hands and you feel blood start pouring from the wounds unnaturally fast.

The 'Overclock' does not end however, not until you pass out from the blood loss, and you hear as that happens a snicker from the voice in your head.

You re-spawn a few hours later, back in the restaurant, and with no memory of the events of the previous instance. The patrons are kvetching about 'that weird server malfunction' which caused a 'hard reset' erasing 'about two hours of game-play', but you have no idea what they are talking about.

You look at your stat screen, out of idle curiosity, and see:

Melee Attack: 1
Ranged Attack: 0
Magic Attack: 0

No weaknesses or resistances

Special Abilities:
Exceptional Balance
Charming

Nothing's changed, just the same as it ever was, and you sigh, knowing that odds are there will be a raid soon and you will probably die, again. Oh well, back to work, there is one of your regulars sitting down in your area of the restaurant, and even though he is a total pervo you will see he gets fed, it's what you were created for after all.
