My sister goes first

“So who goes first?” Susie asked.

“Well, it was your idea and it’s your birthday, so I guess you get to start, sis.” I declared. “So who you gonna pick first?”

Everybody looked around at each other, not sure just how to start the game.

“Are there any rules?” Amy asked, looking at Susie.

“Uh, I’m not sure,” she replied. “I’ve only played it once but it was a lot of fun. Do we need rules?”

I decided to help out. “Well, I’ve played a few times and it’s a good idea to have a few basic ground rules. I suggest, one, you have to ask someone besides the person who just asked you. Two, any dares can’t include yourself. Three, if the dare involves another person they have to consent to it. Four, if the person won’t answer the question or do the dare, then they have to do a forfeit. I think that’s more than enough rules.”

“What’s the forfeit?” Beth asked.

“I don’t know. We can think of something. Hopefully, we won’t have to use it. So who you gonna pick, birthday girl?”
