My Chance

“So Bill, is this why you felt you needed to go to your office?”

For the last hour I’ve been hearing various women claiming that Bill is often in his office with an intern. I just ignored them all but something started nagging at the back of my mind, saying that there was only one way to prove that they were just jealous of what Bill and I have together and that was to go to his office. And lo and behold, here he was with someone I haven’t seen before.

“June it’s not what it looks like!”

Of course Bill would say that. What kind of moron does he take me for?

“Oh course it isn’t, let me guess you were just helping her to retrieve an ice cube that went into the top of her dress?”

I knew he wasn’t dead from the neck down but I thought that Bill respected me enough not to lie to me. That he would have the balls to tell me that there was someone else in his life! Right now, I didn’t want to hear anything from him. One look at the ‘person’ he was with, I didn’t think she could say anything unless it came from the thought bubbles she must have an endless supply of in her airhead!

“Well when you’re interested in being with your wife, you know where to find me, that is if I feel like staying with a bunch of ingrates!”

I turn and start walking back to the party, but instead of returning to the party I take the stairs and go down to the parking level and was about to get into our car when a parking attendant came up to me.

“Ah excuse me Miss but this level is off limits to non-employees!”

I looked at his eyes then dropped my eyes to check out the body that went with the eyes. “Really officer and tell me how do you know that I’m not an employee here?”

"Oh I have been taken through all the personnel files and trust me I would have easily remembered an employee as attractive as you!”

Damn I couldn’t believe that he was checking me out from head to toe. I got an itch below at the same time as the idea formed in my mind. Well if he could cheat on me, then I can cheat on him!
