Muzan Kibutsuji

Few things caught Liberatio’s interest in his travels like the Oni, referred to as demons, that were infesting Japan. The Oni weren’t the traditional hell demons, but more like monsters that craved human flesh and blood. In addition, they were ridiculously powerful, weak only to sunlight and decapitation by weapons crafted from certain materials.

If the Demon Slayer Corps knew the truth about the materials used in their blades…

It was honestly a miracle the monsters eating people and the war between them and the slayers that had gone on for centuries had not spilled over into the open. However, this was to Liberatio’s fortune. After many years of observation and gathering information from the shadows, it was time for him to get involved and turn Japan into a true demon forged hell.

After all these years, Liberatio found the one who could bring the carnage and mayhem he craved.

In the Asakusa district in Tokyo, Liberatio had finally managed to track down the progenitor of these Oni, one Muzan Kibutsuji. It hadn’t been easy to gain information about him, especially when Liberatio had to cover his tracks from the Demon Slayer Corps, Muzan himself and any other parties who would want to hunt a hellspawn. After Muzan had a brief encounter with a teenage boy, a demon slayer judging from the sword and cries of vengeance, Liberatio made his move. He discreetly replaced a woman, telling her to go home and that he would take care of her family, his charisma and presence persuading the slightly drunk woman to leave her much more intoxicated family members in his care.

Fortunately, this meant she would not be present when Muzan killed the drunks after one foolishly denied his apology for bumping into him. In fact, the drunk insulted him to his face. (Liberatio quietly got a good laugh at the good fortune that was wasted.) Then, Muzan turned his attention to him and closed the distance quickly.

“Do I look pale?” Muzan asked, his red eyes gazing upon him.

“Not at all.” Liberatio replied, not intimidated by Muzan. When you’ve been in actual hell and spend plenty of time fighting demons, you don’t get fazed by much. "In fact, that was a nice display of might and ****." Muzan and Liberatio let their auras slip out as the stakes are raised. Muzan felt Liberatio's power and paused, taking interest in the unusual being in front of him.

“You aren’t like the other insects that scurry around here.” Muzan said as a nail placed itself against Liberatio’s forehead. “Who are you? You better give me a good reason not to kill you.”

“I am Liberatio, Kibutsuji. You can call me a ‘true’ demon.” He answered. Muzan’s red eyes narrowed at his remark and the knowledge of his identity.

“You have some nerve, since you know who I am. I have done things that would make men kill themselves just to escape me. I have killed my own servants for the smallest slights. You dare give yourself a lofty title?!”

Muzan pushed tried to push his finger into Liberatio’s head, but he grabbed Muzan's hand and managed to hold him back and get away from being pinned to the wall. ‘Yes, he might need some persuading, but he definitely has the anger and power.’ Liberatio thought.

“Now, now, Kibutsuji. I can tell you’re not entirely convinced but I am a demon, and I wish to aid in your goals if you let me.” Muzan scoffed at his words.

"And what do you know about my goals and desires?" Muzan asked as he approached Liberatio.

"How about being completely unchained from the fear of ****, reaching the pinnacle of power and terror, the ability to conquer the sun?" At that, Muzan completely froze. Could he actually...?

At that moment, the alley wall morphed into a black and red portal. Muzan took in the sight of the unknown power before him.

“If you come with me, I can prove my power beyond a shadow of a doubt and bring you closer to ultimate power.” Liberation approaches the portal. The evil being offers his hand to the other. “Come.”
