Mum has an offer

He sat in the room contemplating the situation he found himself in when he heard a knock on the door. His mother walked in and asked what he wanted to do for the day. His parents would be busy dealing with family business but his cousins were free to go to the beach. “What’s the point in going to the beach if I can’t swim mum? In case you forgot I have no trunks.” His mum laughed. “You could sunbathe or get lunch?” I can’t sunbathe fully dressed!” He retorted. “Why don’t you borrow one of my old swimsuits?” Lorenzo paused for a moment. How could his mum expect him to go out in a ladies swim suit. Everyone would laugh at him. As if she could read his mind she said “ no one at the beach will know you, they’ll just think your any other girl that’s there.” Lorenzo was seething. “But that’s the point mum I’m not a girl!” Lorenzo’s mum stood up and walked toward the door. before leaving she turned back to him and said “ you can stay up here if you want, but what’s the point of coming to sunny Italy and not enjoying the sunshine?” With that she opened the door and walked out. Lorenzo sat there contemplating what she said. He walked over to her old wardrobe and looked at her old swimming outfits. She had a load of bikinis all in different colours and a few one piece swimsuits. At the abase of the wardrobe was a box.
