What's next?

Multimedia

Next on your schedule is multimedia. You make your way through the halls easily since you already know where to go, still drawing the attention of people you pass. The stares bother you a little less since, after your experience in stats class, it seems people are just curious about you. The whispers still bug you though.

It takes just under a minuet for you to reach the classroom. The room is filled with rows of tables which each hold about eight computers. You notice that in front of each one there is a small piece of paper with several names on them. Other students are checking several papers before sitting down and you realize that you have assigned seats. It makes sense. It would give the teacher an idea of who to suspect if anything unusual went wrong with a computer in between classes. You find your name on a paper right at the front of the class. The teacher's desk is in front of you and a bit to the side, with her chair facing you. There would be next to no chance of slacking off here. You sit down just as the bell rings again.

"Alright, has everyone found their seats?" You see the teacher, another woman, standing in front of a big projector screen at the front of the class. She looks kind of like a hipster, wearing jeans, a t-shirt with some logo you don't know, and a long tie dye cardigan. Her hair is up in a messy bun and her eyes sit behind a pair of large, circular glasses. She's definitely in her mid thirties.

No one really responds to her question, and with no one currently standing, she takes it as a sign that everyone has found their seat.

"Great. First off, let me introduce myself. I'm Casey Jackson and I teach multimedia and a few other computer based classes. Please just call me Ms. Casey." She goes on to give a similar introduction as Ms. Riley. Luckily in this class, the computers block most people from seeing others in front of or behind them, and even provide a bit of cover from the teacher, so there is a lack of staring at the moment. You need to find your mother and ask her what is happening during lunch break. Other students are obviously fixating on you, but none of them have made any attempts at approaching you. The lack of male peers is another major concern. As you're thinking this, you hear your name and look up.

"Alex Scott, would you please introduce yourself." You would probably have to do this in every class.

Your introduction goes smoothly this time since you aren't hiding any wood. Once seated again, Ms. Casey thanks you and starts going over the same information as your statistics teacher. What the class will cover, what you'll be able to do after learning everything, etc. You use the time to daydream about unimportant stuff. The class goes by uneventfully and the bell eventually rings for lunch. Everyone files out of the classroom in a hurry, all of them excited to meet their friends during their free time. Ms. Casey gives you a smile and a wave just before you walk out the door. It's time to find your mother and ask some questions.
