You walk into the kitchen and see bags of groceries on the kitchen table. Seconds later, Mrs. Allen enters from the garage carrying two more bags. “Hey Mrs. Allen” you say, “do you need help with carrying anything else in?” “Oh, hi David. I didn’t know you were here. No, thank you, that was the last of the bags. You two could help put things away, though.”

Brenda Allen is Tia’s mom. She’s 52 years old, but keeps herself fit with regular yoga, spinning, and toning classes at the health club you work at. Laugh lines have developed around the blue eyes and full lips that Tia inherited, but Brenda’s body is a little more compact and thicker.
