Mr. Wade isn’t convinced

“Please, Mr. Wade. Can I have my underwear back?” Arnold asked. “I’ll do extra credit.”

“You should have had the diligence to remember to put them on,” Mr. Wade said. “I’ll hang on to them until after school. You can come by to get them.”

Arnold sighed but nodded as he turned to leave. “Wait,” Mr. Wade said.

Arnold turned back around hopeful that Mr. Wade changed his mind.
