What's next?
Moving right along.
Professor Morris watched the not-girl run out of the classroom. Emerging from her hiding spot in the shadows, Kim made her way to the teacher's desk.
"It is fortunate that Lucy is not a human being," the professor admitted, "I would find the nature of that conversation to be quite distasteful otherwise."
"It had to be done," Kim pointed out, "She's been raised as a human for 22 years. It will take harsh measures to make her embrace her true self."
"That and the cutting-edge biochemical agents that Dr. Liston has been providing you," Professor Morris pointed out. "After our conversation, Miss Carpenter will be in a weakened emotional state. I would suggest that you take advantage of this opportunity and be there for her, Miss Wicks."
Kim began walking out of the lecture hall, one hand raised in farewell. "I'll see you at the next strategy meeting," she said.
"Why would she say that?" Lucy bawled out.
Taking Professor Morris's advice, Kim had intercepted her one-time friend and guided her to the cafeteria. Lucy's body still needed a large number of calories to fuel the transformation of her breasts, so it was only natural that Kim take her there again. She patted Lucy's shoulder in what she hoped was a comforting way. It was so strange to her that she had to console an animal, but she was willing to take a hit for the cause. "There, there," she said.
"And she wouldn't even let me explain!"
Having witnessed the entire scene from her hiding place, hearing Lucy retell it from her perspective was rather boring. On the positive side, it would appear that stress of the situation and her raised blood pressure had accelerated the transformation. If Kim was correct, Lucy's breasts had grown an entire cup size since they had shared breakfast before Professor Morris's lecture. If only there was some way she could get Lucy to stop ignoring the food in front of her.
"Obviously, there has been some sort of mistake," she lied, "but you have to eat something. It'll make you feel better."
"I've never been one to eat my feelings, Kim."
"Come on, Lucy. This is college. You're telling me that you've never curled up in front of the TV with your good friends Ben and Jerry?" Despite herself, Lucy felt a little better. Kim leaned in closer to Lucy in a conspiratorial way. "Is that a smile I saw on your face?"
"No..." Lucy lied.
"All right," Kim declared as she stood up. "You eat something. I'm going to get you a milkshake so that you can eat your feelings in style."
"Wait, Kim..." Lucy tried to get her attention, but Kim was already gone. Sighing, she took a bite of one of the giant mozzarella sticks that was on her plate, wondering for the umpteenth time why the cafeteria was giving her such large portions, and waited for her friend to come back.
"Listen to me," Kim told the Student Life worker, Jeff, behind the counter. "This strategy is barely working. If she isn't suspicious about the food yet, she will be before the change can finish properly. I know Tim said she needs calories and starches and stuff, but isn't there another way to fatten her up? Like that old movie with the food bars?"
"Are you talking about Kälteen Bars?"
"Yes! Those! Don't you have something like that? If you blend it into the milkshake, she won't have to eat as much to fuel the change!"
"I'm pretty sure those things were made up for the movie, but we should have something in back we can use. Good idea Kim!"
Even though Lucy hadn't wanted the milkshake when Kim had left to get it, she couldn't deny that it was tasty and that she was feeling better than she had when she left Professor Morris' lecture hall.
Kim couldn't help but grin as Lucy drank the dairy concoction that she had brought back and unknowingly ingested in excess of 3500 calories. Of course she and Tim had not actually analyzed the drink, but Tim had really come through in creating a drink that was easily triple the calories of the average milkshake.
"And to think you doubted me."
"All right," Lucy relented. "I admit it. This milkshake really did help and you were right... For once in your life."
"It's not a good idea to go after somebody who knows your weaknesses," Kim replied, poking at one of Lucy's breasts.
"Hey!" Lucy cried out as she jerked back in her seat to escape the assault on her tender/sensitive breasts. Waves of heat emanated from her nipples and she did her best to stifle a moan.
Kim, meanwhile, stared as a small wet spot grew on the front of Lucy's shirt. Right over the teat. It was just a few drops, but the drugs were working! In order to keep Lucy from noticing, though, Kim would have to distract her. Grabbing her phone, Kim scrolled through the various group messages that had been formed when the conspiracy had begun. Loading the one for the Student Life staff, she explained what she needed while Lucy recovered from the unexpected feelings in her breasts. In the meantime, she had to keep Lucy's attention so that she wouldn't notice that she had leaked into her shirt.
"Enjoying yourself?" Kim teased.
"Don't poke me like that," Lucy retorted. "My breasts are still sensitive. Maybe I should see a doctor."
It was still too soon for Lucy to go see a doctor, but seeing Lucy tilt her head down to examine her breasts, Kim grabbed her attention again. "YOU probably just slept on them funny."
She grimaced. That had not been a smooth delivery, but she panicked at how close Lucy had come to noticing the evidence of her lactation. Fortunately, it had worked. Lucy was looking at her again.
"Sleep on it. If your breasts are still feeling off tomorrow, you can go to the doctor then."
"I suppose," Lucy relented.
Out of the corner of her eye, Kim saw one of the Student Life employees approaching their table.
"What are you doing tonight?" Lucy asked.
"Why do you ask? Are you looking for some alone time with your good friend Max?"
Lucy blushed, "No! I'm trying to follow your advice! See if we could have a movie night?"
"Excuse me," the Student Life employee interrupted. "If you are finished, perhaps I could wipe down the table?"
Kim waved dismissively and Lucy did not have any reservations either, so they grabbed a spray bottle and a cloth and began spraying down the table. Of course, the spray bottle was not fastened correctly.
"I'm sorry, Lucy, but I'm meeting somebody tonight," Kim said.
Now Lucy was the one that was grinning. "Is it that hot boy? From the library?"
Since Tim would likely be in attendance at the strategy meeting, Lucy had inadvertently given her the perfect excuse to leave the dorms that night. "Yes. He wants to take me to a late dinner. Maybe go on a bar run after."
"And will you be staying with him tonight?"
"As if I'd give up the goods to a boy on a first date," Kim scoffed.
"Ahhh!" Lucy cried out as the spray bottle was accidentally dropped on the table, splashing its contents onto Lucy's chest, hiding all evidence of her lactation.
"Watch what you're doing you clumsy oaf!" Kim said with fake anger.
"I'm so sorry miss!"
"Just get out of here," Kim said, grabbing a bunch of paper towels from his cart to give to Lucy. The employee scurried away now that his mission had been completed successfully.
"I'm sorry, Lucy," she said as she helped pat down the spilled cleaning solution from the table. Lucy took some of the paper towels and carefully blotted up what she could from her shirt. "What horrible luck! You go clean yourself up. Then call Max. Share a dinner and have that movie night together. I'm sure that will cheer you up."
"That's a good idea," Lucy said. She wrapped her arms around her friend tightly. "Thank you for cheering me up, Kim."
