Morning with the Royal Family

It was only after the two spent over an hour in bed did they remember they hadn't had breakfast yet. So, Kori led MJ back to the bath for a quick rinse and to get dressed. Although they were in a hurry, MJ felt light as air. The tension she felt towards Kori has disappeared, and in its place was pure delight. The beautiful princess helped her discover a new part of herself and she knew the two of them would continue exploring it together. Hell, she could barely take her eyes off of Kori as they got ready for the dinner hall. Stepping out of the bath, MJ was wearing a green, knee-length dress and shoes, while Kori wore a matching purple dress. The two of them held hands as they hurried towards the dinning hall.

When they finally got there, they saw only two others, Rera and an older woman wearing a silver headdress. Kori greeted them in Tamaran, and the older woman turned around, greeting them in kind. As she stepped towards them, Kori turned to MJ, saying “Allow me to introduce you to my mother, Queen Luand'r.” before speaking again to the queen. MJ gave a small bow and greeted her in Tamaran as best she could.

Queen Luand'r seemed to appreciate the gesture, as she smiled and returned the greeting. She then turned and spoke to Rera, who then said, “The queen is pleased to meet you, and she would like to speak to you in your language.”

If the queen asked yesterday, MJ might have felt nervous after being reminded of the whole “learning-language-by-touch” thing. Today, however, she was feeling a little brave. “Of course,” MJ said, before stepping forward, and kissing the queen. She found it rather enjoyable, since she's the one initializing it. However, when she pulled back, she saw that the queen had a surprised look on her face.

“Oh, oh my god,” MJ said, “oh, my god, I overstepped, I am so sorry, I just-”

However, the queen chuckled and said, “No, no, you are alright. You just caught me by surprise, that's all.” MJ signed in relief, as the queen continued, “From what Rera told me, I assumed you had reservations about our way of sharing language.”

“I did actually. However, your daughter Kori has me, let just say, start to reconsider them,” MJ replied, turning to see Kori, who had an amused smirk on her face.

Queen Luand'r clapped her hands and said, “Wonderful, now since Rera informed me ahead of time that the two of you would be late, I had some food saved until you arrived. Go ahead and partake what you like.” Kori and MJ thanked her, sat down, and started digging in. While MJ enjoyed her meal, Kori was talking to the queen in Tamaranean while she ate. Luand'r ocassionally asked her questions in English, which MJ answered.

However, just before they were done eating, another walks into the room: Komand'r. Upon seeing her, Kori turned tense, while MJ looked on, and gave a short greeting.

”Good Morning, Mary Jane,“ Komand'r said, ”I hope my sister has been a good host, what with her taking up your morning and making you mess breakfast.“

Kori groaned a little before MJ spoke up. ”Thank you for the concern, but Kori has been a fantastic host.“

”I see,“ Komand'r replied, looking a little disapointed. However, before she could say anything else, Queen Luand'r interrupted them.

”Komand'r, I hope you remember what today is about,“ she said in an imposing tone.

Komand'r signed, and said, ”Oh, of course I do. Speaking of which...”

Just then, a young man enters the room. MJ is shocked to see that it's the same young man she saw yesterday in the closed-off section. Kori, on the other hand, practically leapt out of her seat and gave him a hug, greeting him in Tamaranean.

She then turned to MJ, saying “Allow me to introduce the last member of the family, my dear brother Ryand'r.” However, she quickly saw the shocked look on MJ's face and became concerned. “Is there something wrong? You have a strange look on your face.”

Hearing this, MJ quickly changed her expression and replied, “No, no, everything's fine. Just my imagination, is all.”

Kori didn't look convinced, but let it go for now. Ryand'r, however, just smiled and greeted MJ in Tamaranean, to which MJ returned. He than opened his arms, and waited for MJ to approach him. When she did, he pressed his forehead against hers, just as Rera did yesterday, and after a few moments, he stepped back.

“It is a pleasure to meet you, Mary Jane Watson,” Ryand'r said in English.

MJ responded as calmly as she could, “A pleasure to meet you as well.“
