Morning shopping

Rachel took you and the girls to the ‘safe house’ which was simply an apartment attached to the Arrival Center. Still, it was pleasant enough for a couple nights stay, and had space for everyone.

You spent several hours playing with your new power, and found it fun, but relatively weak. Not that you were complaining, suddenly having magic was a strange experience. You did discover that you could affect small parts of other peoples bodies, much to the delight of Maya and Anna. After a bit of teasing and lots of giggles, the three of you retired to the bedroom, to the amusement of Elys, who went into a separate bedroom.

The next day you woke up early, excited to try and expand your abilities. You and Maya curled up on the couch together with a laptop, and began browsing the Auction. Maya seemed more interested in cuddling than shopping, but you insisted that you needed to do this.

“I can’t be dependent on you for protection, Maya. It’s not fair to you, and I don’t want you to end up hurt.” You lean down and kiss her cheek, “Besides, you’re not my bodyguard!”

Maya grins, hugging you tighter, “I still want to protect you. I haven’t been this happy since...since I came through the portal. I meant what I said, Josh, I won’t let anyone separate our little family. I care about you and Anna too much, and Elys has her certain...charms.”

“You mean she’s sexy as hell and keeps you company in bed when I’m not there.”

Maya blushes, “That too! But she’s smart and she understands the harsher things about the world. She’s been through a lot.”

You nod, “Yeah. She’s a good person. I’m teasing about the sex stuff, I’m not THAT jealous, you know”

You both jump slightly as Elys leans over the back of the couch with a smile. “My earsss are burning. Pretty rude to talk behind my back, I hope itsss all good thingsss!”

Maya huffs, “It’s also kinda rude to listen in on a private conversation!” She sticks her tongue out at Elys, who wags a finger at her.

“Not very private in the middle of the living room. And unlesss you plan on putting that tongue sssomewhere, put it back in your mouth.”

Laughing, you shake your head, “Good morning to you too, Elys. We’re picking out something for me to try absorbing. Any opinions?”

“I would sssay try sssomething little to begin with, don’t worry about how ussseful it isss until you know how everything worksss.”

“That’s probably good advice. Thanks, Elys.”

You decide on a set of shoes that promise increased running and jumping abilities, a stone that allows you to create a shield of ****, and at a suggestion from Maya, a necklace that gives the ability to cause sexual pleasure from any kind of touch.

These will all be fun in their own way.
