Head upstairs

More zombies

Chapter 11 by braunackerman1

Peter stuck his head out of the door to the fourth floor. “Shit, there’s more of them up here,” said Peter, “It looks like the whole hospital might have been turned.” “I wonder what happened?” said Paige. “Could be any number of things, but at the end of the day someone probably wasn’t careful enough. And now everyone’s a zombie.” grumbled Olivia, “How many are there Peter?” Peter leaned farther out the door, “Three. No wait four. I missed Jane. God she’s got some nice tits, almost makes me want to let her fuck me.” “Don’t be gross,” Olivia said, smacking Peter on the head. She took a deep breath, rubbing her temple, “Alright let’s do this.” “Wait do what?” Kathryn asked.

Before she got an answer, Olivia pushed past Peter, into the second floor. The other three watched as Olivia strode towards the reception area where the zombies were congregating. They turned their heads as she approached, aroused from their mindless stupor by the prospect of fresh meat. The closest one, a man with grey hair, his cock rapidly hardening at the sight of Olivia, began moving towards her.

Olivia didn’t falter as the other zombies fell in behind the man, all moving gradually towards her. She grabbed a crutch, left leaning against the wall, and raised it behind her head. When the zombie man got in range, she swung the crutch, bringing it against the zombie’s temple. The zombie crumpled to the ground, but Olivia wasn’t done with it yet. She brought the crutch down on the zombie’s head again with a sickening crunch, green blood spurting from its face. She only stopped when the zombie stopped moving. Breathing heavily, she turned to the others “You want to help or…?”

The others timidly filed out. Kathryn couldn’t tell if she was more scared of the zombies or Olivia with her bloody crutch. Another zombie stumbled towards them, and Olivia readied herself. She swung the crutch upward, catching the zombie under its jaw and flinging it backwards into another. Olivia didn’t give them time to think, or whatever zombies do, and charged them beating them down. The last zombie ran at her, but before he could reach her, Peter cracked his head against the wall.

Kathryn was so engrossed in Olivia’s heroics that she didn’t hear a zombie nurse creep up behind her. “Look out!” screamed Paige, pushing Kathryn aside. She threw her whole weight into a punch, laying out the zombie. The zombie collapsed next to Kathryn, who scrambled on the ground away. “Thanks,” she gasped. Paige nodded and helped Kathryn up to her feet.

Holding onto Paige’s hand, Kathryn headed towards the reception desk, where Olivia and Peter had gathered. Four zombies lay bleeding on the ground, some of them maybe dead. “Congratulations,” Kathryn said, “You broke your medical oath.” Olivia looked at her, breathing heavy. “I’m not a doctor. Nothings stopping me from killing someone.” “I mean murder is illegal, but I’m not complaining,” said Paige. Olivia rolled her eyes, “Come on. Let’s keep going.”

Olivia headed off, spinning her bloody crutch as she went. As the group walked past the desk, Kathryn noticed some objects strew nearby. A tray held a collection of metal surgical tools, among them a gleaning scalpel. Shoved under one of the desks, was a fire extinguisher. Kathryn needed a weapon, something to defend herself with.
