More than birds of flames

When school starts again everyone slowly get back into the routine, average students go to class, champions train themselves...

Harry for his part was quite busy, taking care of the creatures he save took a lot of time but at least Rolf and Luna helped a lot.

He was also working on new spell and potions. And also finalizing his water breathing potion in order to test it before the rapidly coming task.

Being a good boyfriend for his 2 girlfriends who were starting to say it would be good if Harry add 1 or 2 more girl in his harem, because they had difficulty following harry seemingly unlimited libido, this tend to boost his ego but for now it was not his priorities to add more girls. Luna and Fleur could be already in the harem but he still has not totally forgive Luna for scaring him the way she did, as for Fleur... Her resent demeanor towards him and most importantly towards his girlfriends was not giving him any desire to let her join in, regardless of how hot she was.

Of course he was also making plan regarding the task that Hermaeus Mora give him, the task didn't seem dangerous or immoral, but after his meeting with Hermaeus Mora Harry go search for advice from Gloria.

*Flashbacks*

"So... If I understand well, you make a deal with a powerful demon ? That's a very dangerous choice young man... What did it ask you to do exactly ?"

"Well I'm simply supposed to make sure someone he indicated me open a book."

"Mhm... That seems to easy there must be a catch, there is always a catch when you deal with demons..." Gloria say pensively.

"Do you have any advice for me ?"

"Don't try to be smarter than the demon in order to get more than what it promise you, because if you do, you'll regret it and also get over with it as soon as possible, the longer you are in contact with a demon lord the longer you put yourself in danger."

"And what if I changed my mind and decided to cancel our deal ?"

"Don't, it's already too late for that, once you say yes the no is no longer a available option... And believe me this demon if it's a smart one he'll know that a punishment Will be more hurtful for you if you're not directly affected by it..."

"Not directly ? But how can it hurts me if my not...." The reality of what she implied hit him. "... Ginny and Susan..."

"Indeed..." Said Gloria sadly.

*End of flashbacks*

For harry there was no doubt now, if his loved one could be in danger then he'll do what mora asked him when the task will be over.

"So, mister Potter are you ready to test the potion ?" Snape to Harry who was holding the vial in his hand while standing before the Black lake.

"We'll never know if it's work if we don't test it don't we ? Besides that why I ask you to be there at least for the first time in case things go south."

Snape just nod, so harry drink the vial in one gulp.

"Horrible taste... That a good sign at least..." Said the grimacing young man.

"Don't act like a child. So ? How do you feel? Does the tingling feeling around your neck, feet and hand is there ?"

"Yes sir, for now it goes as we predicted... I also feel that compression sensation in my chest... As you theorized it would."

"That why I'm the master and you are the apprentice Potter, you're good, very good even but you still have a long way to travel..."

"So it seems... Anyway I'm dive in, the gill should appear soon." Say harry before diving.

It was a very strange feeling, being under water like he was suppose to be in as if he was not made to breathe the fresh air but rather let the water go through his gill while his palmed hand and feet were allowing him to move like a merepeople.

After the effects worn off he get out of the water and report his experience with the potion, thanks to Harry very detailed description both men would be able to get the potion in a perfect working state in few days.

"Well it went pretty well."

"Considering you didn't drowned I would say that it was indeed a success. Tell me Potter, do you also plan to sell the recipe to the ministry like you attend to do so with that spell you use in the first task ?"

"Well I don't have decided yet, besides you helped me so you have your word to say about that decision, and if we did decide to sell it half of the benefits will go to you."

"It's generous..."

"I'll rather say it's common sense but if you want to compliment me I won't protest."

Harry was swimming in the black lake again like he has done it many times before to perfecting the potion. Now that the potion had reach its optimum state he was exploring the lake in order to not be lost tomorrow when the task will happen.

He still didn't know how the judge planned to put something he hold dear in the bottom of the lake, but just to be safe he order both ginny and Susan to not leave the HQ until the task was over.

The two girls accept after he promised to bring them both in a single date of there choosing witch was a fair deal for him.

"Hey mister, fancy seeing you here." Said a deep and beautiful female voice.

Harry turn around to see who was speaking to him since until now merpeople hadn't been very talkative to him.

So to say harry was surprised to see a topless black mermaid in front of him was a understatement, however harry recover quickly and he was able to look at her fully.

It was her blue hair that he recognized immediately, she was Krum date from the yule ball. He only has speak few banality with her, so he only know her name was Riley and the she was from America.

"Well I could say the same thing about you, I thought you had leave the castle after the ball." Harry say looking her in the eyes.

"Well apparently your headmaster was okay with me staying for few more weeks to support Victor so here I am." She answered seemingly impressed that Harry was able to resist looking at her breasts.

She then swim with ease around Harry, he noticed that her mermaid tail was like surrounded by water... Well yes it was since they were both underwater but it was like this water was different, like it was not normal water.

"Go ahead, I'm not ashame of what I am and we both know you desperately want to ask your question..." She said playfully.

However Harry decided to take her of guard.

"Okay... Well... If you're okay with me asking then... How big are those two beauty on your chest ?" He ask in the same playful tone.

She laughed loudly. "Ha ha, you're a funny one Potter, well I don't really know since I never wear bra however they make my boyfriend veeeery happy." She answered while grabbing her boobs too shake them a bit.

"I easily imagine that Victor must indeed be very happy, anyway all jock aside, what are you ? You don't look like a mermaid... Well not the real one your more like the one in muggle movie."

"Well I'm nothing more than a veela."

"What ? I mean... I thought..." Harry said confused

"You though veela were all horny temperamental sexy bird of flame ?"

"Well yes to be honest."

"Well what you meet were fire veela, I'm a water veela." She said as if it was obvious.

"But why only fire one are documented ?"

"Because flame mean passion and fire spirit, my fiery sisters are not very good to hide there nature that why everyone know them. Unlike the veela from other element."

"How many kinds of veela exist ?"

"Eight different kinds in total, one kind per elements."

"So there are : earth, electric, water, fire, ice, wind and..." Said Harry out of ideas.

"Almost all good, you only forgot Shadow and light but they are extremely rare."

"And does all the veela have a different er..." Harry was not sure that the question he was about to ask would be offensive so he hesitate.

"Does we all turn in something different ? Yes and no. First of all we don't all have a perfect body like the Delacour sister or me, some kind like the electric veela don't even have a human body they look more like a vaguely female looking mass of pure electric energy."

Harry was fascinated.

"Prodigious... Please tell me more about the veela in general." He asked eagerly.

"Well every species of veela Is linked to one of the primordial spirit who built the world... Due to our different elementals affinity we are all different :

• fire one are passionate, they have a human form and a bird like one when they get angry
• water one are flexible and are very similar to the fire one, however we can only took our alternative fish form under the water.
• electric one are constantly enraged and destroy everything and kill everyone on sight, they only calm down after having being defeated by someone stronger. They have a no physical appearance as I say earlier.
• earth one are the most compassionate they never refuse giving a hand to other, if there trust is earned it's for the life, they are dwarf in appearance and have clawed hand that they use to dig there underground city, they live under the ground and often trad with the goblin.
• wind one are free spirit, they are small fairy sized being who can't live sedentary, that why they travel all around the world like the wind, free from this world many problem.
• ice one are the most difficult to socialize with since they never show any emotion, just a constant cold mask, for them trusting someone enough to let this person see their true feeling is a act as intimate as making a baby. They have a beautiful bule grey skin and can survive only a climate under zero degrees.

However I know nothing about Shadow and light veela due to the fact they are extremely rare and good to stay hidden, even from other veela."

"Then how can you know they exist ?"

"We are all born from a primordial summon spirit that how I know it."

"Wait, you believe in that legend about elemental spirit who created each world ?" Harry asked.

However Riley goes on the defensive immediately, apparently not liking that harry was calling her belief "legend".

"Think what you want Potter." She then swim out of sight in a blink of an eye.

"Shit... I still have lot to learn about veela."
