More small talk.

"Nice to meet you, Lance." Kevin said with a genuine smile.

Lance nodded, before turning to his empty glass, staring into it.

"So... this girl... tell me about it." Kev said, ordering a drink for himself.

Lance thought for a moment, wondering whether he actually was going to confide in a complete stranger. "Her name is Lillian. We were going out for 7 months. I finally thought I had found "the One", but then she sprung me and gave me that "it's not you, it's me" bullshit. And now I'm back where I started, wondering whether "the One" really exists."

Both men were silent for a moment.

"I'm sorry, Lance, but don't give up." Kev replied. Lance looked up to see that smile again.

"Thanks." he said simply, gesturing for another drink. Both men were served, and they sat in silence for a moment, absorbed in their drinks.
