Monument Station

The trek to Monument Station is relatively uneventful. The tunnels down here are practically deserted; it seems that anyone who could make it here already did before you, and those who couldn't, well, didn't. The dim emergency lighting barely illuminates the tunnels, and true to their word, not a single train passes you the whole time. Still, you keep to the maintenance walkways on the side of the tunnel.

As you approach the station itself, you hear jeers and sounds of protest. There's a large group of people stuck outside some kind of quickly-erectable concrete wall, and they all seem to be trying to push their way in.

"Please, you have to let us in-"

"-I'm pregnant, you can't just leave us out here-"

"-you're just gonna let us die? We can't survive out here! What happened to-"

"-have you seen my wife? Please, you have to let me know if she's alive!"

...something tells you that you may not be quite out of the woods yet.
