Monkey D. Luffy

The sun blazes high in the afternoon sky, glinting off the endless blue expanse of the Grand Line. The Thousand Sunny rocks gently on the waves, its crew scattered across the deck, basking in the brief moment of peace between adventures.

"Oi, Luffy, slow down! You're gonna ****," Nami scolds, watching in disgust as the rubber man shovels meat into his mouth at an alarming rate.

"Mmmfh—can’t help it—shtho good!" Luffy mumbles around a mouthful of food, his hands moving so fast they’re a blur.

Zoro leans back against the ship’s railing, eyes closed, bottle of sake in hand. "Let him be, Nami. We’ve been through hell lately. Let the idiot enjoy his food."

"He always enjoys his food," she mutters but lets it go, choosing instead to lounge beside Robin, who has her nose buried in a book.

Sanji sighs dreamily from the galley doorway. "Ah, my beautiful Nami-swan, if you’d like, I can prepare you something even more exquisite~"

"I already ate, Sanji," she replies, not even looking up. The cook immediately wilts, a storm cloud of disappointment hovering over his head.

Franky lounges nearby, adjusting his sunglasses. "Yohoho! If it’s treasure, it better be something SUPER!"

Chopper and Usopp are at the bow, arguing about something. "I swear, I saw a sea monster with, like, ten eyes!" Usopp insists, waving his arms dramatically.

"That’s impossible!" Chopper counters. "If it had that many eyes, it wouldn’t even need to move its head!"

"Exactly! That’s what makes it so terrifying!"

The calm, lazy atmosphere is shattered in an instant by a distant whistling sound.

"You guys hear that?" Zoro’s eyes snap open as he listens intently.

"Yeah… what is that?" Usopp looks up, shading his eyes. "It’s coming from above—"

A streak of light flashes through the sky, growing larger by the second. It’s moving fast, too fast, and before anyone can react—

**SPLASH!**

A massive column of water erupts into the air, rocking the Sunny violently. The crew grips whatever they can to avoid being tossed overboard.

"What the hell was that?!" Nami shouts, coughing as mist sprays over the deck.

"Something just fell into the ocean!" Chopper yelps, eyes wide.

"Treasure?!" Luffy’s eyes sparkle with excitement, already stretching his arms toward the railing.

"Idiot! You can’t swim!" Nami and Usopp yell in unison, yanking him back before he can fling himself into the sea.

Robin stands and peers over the side, eyes thoughtful. "Strange… I don’t see any wreckage. If it were a meteor, there would be debris."

Zoro grips his swords. "Whatever it is, it’s better we check it out before something checks us out."

Sanji exhales a long breath and jumps onto the railing. "Fine. I’ll go." With that, he dives elegantly into the water, disappearing beneath the waves.

Minutes pass, the water eerily still. The crew watches anxiously until finally, Sanji resurfaces, something clutched in his hand. He hauls himself onto the deck and tosses the object onto the wooden planks.

It’s… a toy?

A cheap-looking, plastic ray gun, its surface shimmering strangely in the sunlight. It looks like something a kid would get from a carnival, except for the faint, unnatural glow pulsing along its edges.

Sanji snorts, running a hand through his wet hair. "This is what made that huge splash? You gotta be kidding me."

"A gun?" Usopp kneels beside it, poking it cautiously. "No way something this small fell from that high up. It should be in pieces."

"Maybe it’s a Devil Fruit weapon?" Chopper suggests.

"Nah, doesn’t look like any I’ve seen," Luffy says, already reaching for it.

For a moment as he grips the handle, nothing happens. The crew leans in closer, waiting.

Then the gun glows.
