Monica meets Tina

Monica wandered the hallway in search of the room number she had been given by Sam. The studio apartment building she was wandering through was in a nice part of town which was a sort of surprise to Monica. She had assumed that it would be a dingy rundown building. She wondered why she had even come here, expecting that. She also had to reassess her opinion on Jennifer’s friend, having thought that the mouthy post-teen would run in seedier circles.

The physical therapist was on a mission. She was there for the promise of rekindling her WSW in ring activity. Sam had promised her a wrestler of equal skill to push her better than any of the club members could. That had been weeks ago, after the first club meet turned into a tag match that turned into passionate lesbian orgy. She thought back on that night fondly. Watching the girls go at it, wrestling to the best of their abilities and then soaking in the rewards of their hard fought match sparked something in the former pro. She missed the action, being able to rely on her own body instead of watching others do moves she knew she could pull off faster, stronger and more precise.

The itch never really went away after that night and the promise of meeting someone that could hold their own against her always itched at the back of her mind, but Monica never followed up on Sam’s offer to introduce her. She had long ago convinced herself to walk away from the sport. She had convinced herself that she needed to in order to move on with her life and career, to keep her secrets safe from her family and friends. She thought she was satisfied with moving WSW into the past, but then Jen came along and brought her friends and now they had a burgeoning women’s wrestling club that filled her with excitement and joy all over again like she had felt when she was a rookie. The passion in her had gradually been stoked with every practice and every after club event until she couldn’t ignore her own needs any longer.

She told herself that she would just meet with Samantha’s friend. Maybe she wasn’t even as good as Sam touted her to be. She just wanted to find out. Maybe the woman would be a good recruit for the club. She didn’t know exactly what she wanted out of this meeting, but she knew she had to do it or it would continually nag at her.

Sam had left Monica with a name and address, in case she decided to seek out this mysterious wrestler on her own. She didn’t recognize the name, so knew it was not one of the other WSW pros. While she had been out of the system for years, she still kept tabs on the up and comers moving into WSW and this woman was not one she knew. Not by name, anyways. Sam had told her that this woman was a trained combat expert but only dabbled in WSW. That was another intriguing notion. A wrestler who was fluent in martial arts was an opponent Monica had never faced before. She wondered how Sam had even met this person.

The trim brunette arrived at the door she was looking for. Tina Tran’s Yoga Studio. Monica was curious why Tina chose to teach Yoga classes instead of martial arts if she was such a master. Regardless, entering a yoga studio seemed like an innocuous way to meet this potential wrestler.

As she entered the door, a lithe young Asian woman greeted her.

“Welcome!”

She was in a sports bra and form fitting yoga pants. Monica could see that she was toned as she moved towards her with grace and control. Monica took a quick glance around the room. Once again her assumptions were misconceived. She had thought this would be a big gym, but it was a small, intimate space that would fit maybe half a dozen people. At this point, Tina was in talking distance with Monica.

“Are you here to sign up for a class? I don’t normally take walk-ins…” Tina said. She mentioned ‘normally’ because, looking at her new visitor, she was willing to make an exception.

“Hi! Umm… I was in the neighborhood and thought I would check the place out…” she explained. It wasn’t a complete lie. She had been coming by this neighborhood to pick up something from a nearby shop and remembered the address Sam had given her. It was mostly on a whim, but now she was inside and actually meeting Sam’s friend, Tina. “I’m Monica, nice to meet you!” she said, introducing herself..

“Tina. Good to meet you too!” Tina replied, shaking the tall brunette’s hand. She could tell the woman had a good physique just by looking at her but from the handshake, she knew there was some strength behind that frame as well. “So, what sort of fitness were you interested in? Yoga? Personal training?”

“Uh, actually, someone thought that we should meet,” Monica replied sheepishly. She didn’t know why she was being so anxious all of a sudden. She guessed that it was because she didn’t want to have to explain that it was Samantha that recommended her because then she’d have to explain that Samantha was a student in the wrestling club she was advising. She wasn’t even sure Sam was actually a student either.

“So. Sam thought we should meet, huh?” Tina smiled.

“Uh… how… how did you know?” Monica responded.

There was a glint and Tina’s eyes as her guess had proved correct. “Sam told me about you. She described you as a busty brunette with an ass you just want to grab and smother your face in…”

“Hrm… She… said that… about me, huh?” Monica asked, blushing. She was a little perturbed that Sam would describe her in that way, but also a little flattered. “What else did she say about me?” she sighed.

“She said that you were a former pro in WSW and that you were looking for a worthy challenger…” Tina revealed. She smiled at Monica and asked, “So? Are you looking for a fight?”

Monica was taken aback for a second. Tina wasn’t being threatening in her question, it was more of a proposition. Monica wasn’t used to this forthrightness, but she realized she should have expected something like this from a friend of Sam.

“Maybe I am…” she replied, feeling a pang of nervousness in her gut. She was not used to meeting up and starting matches with total strangers. Her matches were always prearranged and under the guidance of the federation. There was a sense of danger, making new connections out of nowhere like this, even if this was a friend vouched for by Samantha. Monica didn’t know Sam very well and could only go on the fact that she was Jen’s friend. Another person of whom she’s only known for a short time. Monica felt like she was diving into the deep end after being out of the water for years. There was also something that had been niggling at the back of her mind ever since Samantha had recommended Tina to her. Just because Sam thought she was good, didn’t mean that she could match up to Monica. She had been a pro for several years before retiring. Tina didn’t even have an official match under her belt. She addressed Tina’s question, “It depends on how good the competition is…”

Tina smiled. She loved a little cockiness in her opponent. That’s why she and Sam got along so well. She nodded her head and looked over Monica. “Yeah, I’m starting to wonder the same thing…” She circled her prospective new challenger and said,” Sam’s been talking you up and down. I have to thank you, actually. Ever since she started training with you and your lot, she’s been coming to me to test her skills. I have to say, she’d markedly improved. Still can’t beat me, but she’s showing growth!”

Monica got the mental image of Sam and Tina together, with Sam fulfilling her duties in a prize round.

“So, I know what the student can do, how will the master fare?” Tina wondered, quirking her eyebrow at Monica.

“I get the feeling both of our questions can only be answered one way…” Monica replied, feeling her heart start to beat harder.

Tina’s eyes glimmered as she nodded in agreement. “So, the final question is; when and where?”
