John was self-employed, making good money manufacturing small spy and bomber drones with his 3D printers, for the war in Ukraine, getting the electronics very cheaply from Mexico. At least until the Recolonization Law came down, closing the borders and skyrocketing the prices of his imports. Peace in Europe followed immediately after and John thought that he would have to get a mortgage on his house in Oak Brook (a small town outside of Chicago) when the riots overtook the country.

Though the police tried their best, they lacked the manpower to put the brewing rebellion down. The army, unfortunately, pussied out. The automatic granting of "white man" status to servicemen turned out to be a mistake, who'd have thought, and all the branches- in fear of mutiny- chose to sit out the apparently incoming, civil war.

Thankfully, the white man did himself proud for once. Most of the so-called centrists and even many self-entitled "leftists" joined the ranks of the new order, the sexual temptation being obviously too much to resist.

And thus John's militia was born.
