Chapter 34 by airwreck airwreck

What happens next?

Monday morning.

Now that you had broken the ice with your new roommates -- albeit in a Dear Penthouse Letters' "You wouldn't believe..." way -- you finally settle down in your new apartment. The rest of the weekend was quite boring compared to the hedonism of your first night at your new place, with no sexual tension, let alone sex.

At least with your roommates.

"Hey, guys," greets Lisa after she opens her apartment door and notices you and Sara walk past her apartment towards the elevator.

"Good morning, Lisa," cheerfully Sara responds.

"Morning," you smile at your new neighbor. "How was your weekend?"

"Good! How was your move?" she asks, standing next to you in front of the elevator door. "Are you all settled in?"

"Yeah, the move was good, I managed to get all of my stuff into my car. It was a lot easier having three roommates to help." You give Sara a knowing grin after to your neighbor steps into the elevator first. "I even got a new bed from Honest Ted's."

"Really? He seems like a creep on tv," the Asian girl wonders.

Sara laughs.

The three of you chat a bit in the ride down to the first floor and in the lobby. "Do you need a lift to work?" you ask. "We're heading downtown."

"Sure, if you don't mind!" Lisa replies.

"Not at all." You walk the girls to your car and open the doors for them like the gentleman that you are.

"So where do you work?" you ask your neighbor, not only to find out where to drop her off but also to get to know her a bit more.

"I'm a sales clerk at Lovecraft Jewellers on Main and Oak," she replies.

"Oooh, I didn't know that!" Sara gasps.

"Well, I can get you a discount on engagement rings," Lisa jokes.

"Oh, we're not a couple," you stammer.

"We're just roommates," Sara adds.

"Sorry, I just got the vibe in the elevator you two are a couple." Lisa smiles at the two of you."So where do you guys work?"

"I'm a receptionist at Young and Cooper, an accounting firm," your redhead roommate replies.

You tell your neighbor about your job as an artist at a small video game studio.

"So what kind of artist are you?" Lisa asks.

"Yeah, I model characters and some environment stuff," you smile.

The three of you talk about your jobs and what your career plans.

"Anyway, our first stop."

"Thanks, Mark," Sara says as she opens the door. "What are you making for dinner tonight?"

"I'm thinking Chinese," you answer, waving your roommate bye.

"You cook?" Lisa gasps.

"Yeah, I was thinking of studying to be a chef at one point," you laugh. "Do you want to join us for dinner tonight?"

"Sure, I want to see how good your Chinese dishes compare to my mom's!" she replies. "So where did you learn to cook Chinese food?"

"In college I taught myself to cook to impress girls and I learned to cook Chinese food to impress a cute Chinese girl in one of my classes."

"Huh, maybe you'll impress this Chinese girl tonight!"

"Hopefully," you chuckle, remembering that you got laid after the dinner with your Chinese classmate. "By the way, do you need a lift home tonight?"

"Um, sure if you don't mind," she smiles.

"It's no problem since we're all going the same way."

"I'll pay you back for the gas."

"Don't worry about it for now."

"Should I call you when I get off work?"

"Yeah, that would make sense." You tell her your cell phone number and she adds it to her contact list.

"I usually get off around five."

"Awesome!"
