Modest Temptations

Inside, the mosque proper was relatively empty. Not that Carol or Mabelle were completely certain what they should expect in the first place.

"Is it wrong to assume that we're early?" Carol announced and watched the woman nod. Heading further down the hallway, she opened a side door. Stepping off to the side, that was Carol and Mabelle's cue to step forward and look inside.

There, the elderly pair were met with racks upon racks of long-sleeved dresses. Quite a number of them looked to be their size, all done up in a variety of colors to boot.

"Do you see a set that you like?" the woman called out, Carol and Mabelle looking at each other. Shifting their attention over to the rack, they both picked out a set.

In Carol's case, it was a blue long dress and matching hijab.

As for Mabelle, she had gone for a red set. Wasting little time in stripping out of their clothing, they slipped into their respective attire. Heading back over to the woman, they remembered to pick up their former attire. Wouldn't want to accidentally leave that behind.

"Let me just adjust your hijabs..." the woman cooed and did her handiwork. "Good. Now they shouldn't fall off while you're praying."

Carol and Mabelle nodded.

Following the woman further into the mosque, they found their spot with ease.
