Misunderstandings with man and beast.

Partway to the border with Ferox the group is attacked by Risen again. This was a larger number than the Shepards had fought before, and someone (Vaike) managed to forget to bring their weapon. Luckily Miriel delivered that when she arrived, though not without scolding Vaike for his incompetence of course.

After the battle Chrom spotted a wounded Pegasus that would not allow him to approach it. More than that, it became aggressive and almost attacked him. So when Sumia walked up to the beast, Chrom tried to stop her and keep her safe. Yet when she went ahead anyway, the winged horse quickly calms down and even lets Sumia pet it. She told the others to go ahead without her and that she would catch up when the pegasus was healed.

Then when the shepards arrived at the fortress gates of Ferox, the guards refused them entry. Apparently bandits had been harassing the Feroxi while pretending to be Chrom. The moment diplomacy broke down and fighting broke out, Sumia flew in on the now healed pegasus and protected Chrom from a hail of spears.

As it turns out, Ferox respects action and strength in arms a lot more than words. The prowess of the Shepards convinced the border guards that this Chrom was the real deal. Thus they were led to the capital and allowed to meet the East-Khan. Flavia. A tall, tan, attractive and very muscular woman with an air of strength and authority about her.
