Misty

The Cerulean City Gym was dedicated to Water Type Pokémon, most of the building housing a gigantic pool as a result. On a platform in the center was a battlefield where the gym battle would take place, but at the current moment it was completely empty. The leader of this gym was currently swimming in the pool herself, completely bored of the lack of challengers she's been getting lately.

Misty sighed as she sat by the edge of the pool, afraid she may not have any visitors again today. Usually her gym was one of the first stops for new trainers, so she'd at least get a lot of inexperienced challengers coming for her each day. These days however the same was certainly not happening. This gym might as well have been a ghost town.

Misty submerged her head in the water, sighing in disappointment. This was boring. Gym leaders were only allowed a limited amount of time out of their gyms, a new rule to prevent another situation like Giovanni, but why would she want to be in her gym if no one ever visited? Misty felt she could die of boredom at this rate, and floated over the water's edge as her vision blurred and her world spun...

Misty snapped back upwards, forcing herself conscious. Did she fall asleep? How much time has passed? Why was her swimsuit now snapped, floating away from her? For a little bit it seemed like her world was spinning, and the experience left her a bit disoriented.

Misty looked for the clock, only to lock eyes with another her. Misty was not alone anymore.
