Misty's Magma Delusions

Staring into the mirror, Misty took a moment to clear her thoughts. She needed to get into the mind of a Magma grunt if she wanted to make the most of this.

"But how exactly to do that?" Misty thought, doing her best to wrestle into the mental gymnastics that were Team Magma's ideology. Very much against that of water, the irony was very much not lost on her.

"I'm Team Magma, I'm here to bulldoze this place and in turn, expand the land of people and pokemon." Misty announced, trying to come across as if she somehow believed what she was saying. "Water has little place in this world.

As she said that, a tiny part of the gym leader started to believe it. Yes, she had spent her entire life working with water pokemon, but look at where that had gotten her - absolutely nowhere.

Yet, something about Magma's message seemed to have some truth to it. Or at least, it felt true in her current head space. Whether or not that would change once she left, it, remained to be seen.
