Miss: Trudy is just too busy

"You're my hero, Deenie," Trudy says. "I missed you so bad."

You smile at your old friend. "I missed you too. Could have used you in the motor pool when we had to move a stalled Hummer."

Trudy's part-time night job in wrestling had given her back the muscle tone she'd brought into Basic. She looked like she really could push-start a Hummer these days.

"You got some time to catch up? I'll buy, protein shakes or beers."

As it turns out, Trudy is booked for the rest of the week, and your arrival saved her spinning plates of job, job, and gotta be there from crashing out.

"Rain check, Deenie," Trudy says. "Stuff is really busy. You were a real angel, getting me back on the road."

You make a plan to catch up with Trudy later on, and it's Go Fish.

Trudy offers to drop you off somewhere in town before she has to get busy again.

You could have Trudy drop you somewhere likely in town, or just walk Trudy's neighborhood and poke around. Or it's probably get a ride from Mom back to Brian and Mary's where your well-thumbed Duluth Trading Company catalog awaits.
