Miss: Darla's husband calls and she's distracted

You and Darla giggle together as you change things around to make yourself queen and receiver of Darla's devotional tongue. But as Darla is gazing at your lady parts in a fine pitch of hesitation and desire, there's a loud tweedling sound from the corner of the bedroom.

There's a keyboard there, and a screen with a big bright sign saying STEVIE in the middle.

Darla looks around, hesitates, and looks back to you.

"Hon," you tell her. "If that's your man calling from half a world away, you better answer."

"But he'll want, ah," she says.

"Hon, if you're gonna sex it up, I'll just tiptoe out," you say. You sit up and kiss Darla on the cheek. "You have a wonderful sweet pie."

Darla hands you one of her business cards, circling the MOBILE number and adding a heart. "Call me," she says.

You tiptoe out with Darla's card tucked into your wallet and her taste on your lips. You only had one glass of wine, and it's been a while, so you figure you're safe to drive even though it's dark now.

You lick your lips again. But you could stop by the diner. Maybe Taylor or Mandy's up for a little pie licking. Or, is there anywhere you could go to find a boy who could lend you his wiener tonight? There's that one bar where they sing karaoke, that might do. You have the wicked thought of driving over to Lovers' Lane and playing matchmaker or just helping yourself.
