“Hey you leave him alone” you shouted, running in front of your saviour.

“Hey you’re alright” the kid smiled, genuinely happy but you ignored him.

“This man saved my life and you dare to threaten to take his license?” you yell at the hero, but the muscle bound hero simply scowled.

“Keep your nose out of this, it’s a hero matter” he growled but you heard what he really thought in his head.

“Damn brat, if I’d saved that bitch I might have been able to leverage the standard hero reward. I would have enjoyed a beauty like this with tits that size” the hero thought, so that’s the real reason he was angry. He hoped if he saved you, you’d fuck him. Clearly he didn’t know your quirk.

“Forget this ever happened and let this man keep his license. Then go home and realise you don’t deserve to be a hero and turn in your license”

The hero didn’t blink, that wasn’t how your quirk worked. He simply grunted and walked away. You smiled savagely, it was people like that who caused all those Stain wannabes to show up.

As you turned to your saviour you could see the tears swell up.

“That was so cool! I’ve never had anyone stand up for me before” he cried, tears of joy staining his shirt. She honestly wondered if he was going to pass out from dehydration. Slowly though he wiped his eyes and said “I was going to find you to make sure you were okay after that Nomu attack, but I never got your name”

“I’m Ren Yamada” you answer and the boy smiled. He could melt someone with that smile.

“I’m Izuku Midoriya, though my hero name is Deku. I hope you’re alright” he said concerned, and still his only interest was your safety.

He was sweet, cute, adorable and, from his surface level thoughts, completely sincere. You had never met someone like that before, no one. Surely there was some trick, some trap.
