Mina gives you a kiss

When her hand left mine, I feared for the worst. I thought she hated me for telling her what she should do in her life. Afterall, she's a strong woman who managed to graduate from cadet training with her own strength. However, the fear was immediately replaced by surprise as her soft lips touched mine. I opened my eyes in disbelief and saw that she is indeed kissing me.

After a few seconds of passionately kissing each other, we pulled away and tried to compose ourselves. "I didn't know you felt that way about me," Mina said breaking the awkward silence. "I'm sorry if I went over the line," she added after noticing the bewildered look on my face.

"No, not at all," I assured her. "I just didn't expect you to react that way. I thought for sure you're going to hate me."

"Why would I hate you?" she asked with genuine confusion. "I wouldn't even make it this far without your help. If not for you, I would've been kicked out a long time ago. And then, with a declaration like that..." She turned away trying to hide the wide smile on her face. "Well, you can't fault a girl for making a move."

"Mina," I said as I pulled her close to me and wrapped my arms around her in an embrace. "I wouldn't have made it this far without you either," I whispered to her ear. "There were times where I would've given up if not for you cheering me on." I lifted her chin up and kissed her deeply. I don't know how long the kiss lasted but, at the time, it felt like an eternity of bliss. When we finally let go of each other, I looked at her straight in the eyes and said, "I love you, Mina Carolina!"

"I love you too, Ralfe Franke!" Mina exclaimed with tears building up in the corner of her eyes and cute smile forming on her lips.
