Mina gets a reprieve

"You fool," said Professor Adrienne Van Helsing. "There's no need to use a cross on her. Can't you see that she's standing in the morning sunlight? A true vampire would not be doing that."

"Still," said Yosemite Tam. "We can't take the chance. If she's been bitten --"

"Then she's a victim, not a vamp," said Professor Van Helsing. "And anyway, it's not like the lady is showing any other symptoms of vampirism apart from her bite marks and her eccentric form of dress. She's showing no aversion to garlic. No aversion to running water. And she's up and about in daylight so if she is a vamp, she is a most unusual one. Besides, we're here to track down Dracula -- and from all accounts, Dracula is definitely not a woman."

"Wait a minute!" cried Mina. "You're looking for a guy named Dracula? "

"Why, yes, we are," said Professor Van Helsing. "Have you heard of him?"

"Maybe," said Mina. "Is he a count?"

"As a matter of fact, he is," said Professor Van Helsing. "How did you know?"

"My girlfr -- er -- I mean, my friend Jane Harker went to Transylvania to conduct some business for a Count Dracula," said Mina. "But that's been more than a week ago and I haven't heard from her since."

"Well, rumor has it that Count Dracula has purchased some real estate in England," said Professor Van Helsing. "Specifically the estate next door."

"That's funny," said Mina. "I have heard nothing about anyone buying the estate next door."

"Well, nevertheless, we've heard rumors to that effect and it's our duty to investigate them," said Professor Van Helsing. "So if you don't mind, we've take our leave and continue our investigation elsewhere."

"Er, okay," said Mina..

As her two visitors started to turn to leave, Mina suddenly started feeling nervous about the way Professor Van Helsing and Yosemite Tam had been staring at her.

Not only that but Mina felt queasy as well. And as she tried to clear her head with a vigorous shake, she suddenly got a strange feeling. As if something was different this morning. Something she should know but didn't.

Then she looked down and saw that she was wearing nothing but a white apron. A very thin white apron. Indeed, one could almost see her womanhood through it if one looked in the right direction. And if Mina stood in the bright morning sunlight. Which was what she was doing right then...

"Oh my!" cried Mina. "I just remembered something."

And with that, she hastily ran up the stairs, so suddenly eager to seek extra clothing that she did not think about the view she was giving her two female visitors.

"Oh my!" cried Yosemite Tam as she observed Mina's uncovered backside. "If that's how a typical Englishwoman dresses, I really need to come here more often."

"Oh be quiet, Yosemite," said Professor Van Helsing. "There'll be plenty of time for stuff like that after we kill the vampire."
